The horse wins.  Forget the dressage, though.

@gertrudecloset,

Yes, that is not nice at all. Rude guy! and I bet it was a younger rude guy.

Anyway, yes there may be a lot of truth in that but I'd like to see him (ok or her) turn into an old lady and see where that gets him!

@Helen Bach  I think hobby or pastime can be a good description. We can have several pastimes. I like to garden, cook, dote on my grandkids, and decorate my house. QVC gives me ideas in all these areas. I usually buy things for my children (with their consent), and sometimes for me. I used to have horses, and they are way more expensive!

I do 90% of my clothing shopping on QVC.  Except for shoes, these I buy from my shoe catalogs.  Most of the remainder of my clothes I purchase from a catalog I have been using for years.

I used to really enjoy going to the malls and shopping, but no longer, dont like what I see or the feel of the material.  Nuisance trying on clothes and walking all around hoping to see something.

However, QVC is not my hobby by any means.  I watch Susan Graver, Kim Gravel, Denim & Co and my main man Isaac Mizrahi.  Don't watch any other times.  An exception would be Christmas shows I watch occasionally.

If I have a hobby, I would say it is reading.  I now have 12 books on my reading table and 55 on reserve at the library.  My hobby used to be dancing, but age related issues have interferred with that.

@Helen Bach  No, not my hobby, but when I was a teenager I used to love to go to the mall and shop.

Now I would have to say my hobbies are piano playing and I sing.

@Helen Bach

I always say, to each there own. Seen and heard of many different hobbies, but don't know anyone that says TV. And a specific channel to boot!

My hobbies always involved more physical movement than taking my money out of an account and moving it. Heard it all now, I think!

@Cakers3

 Wow, I totally missed that!  Probably because I was pronouncing it "Bah-k" (rhyming with lock) instead of rhyming with "tack."
