[halfpint1]

OK finally someone helped. I am now halfpint1. I do not know if someone took my name for spite or what. Also now you have to have 8  letters for your password instead of 6 which it had always been and scooter0 was my dog. Now I have my cats name. Why didn't they send me an email that everything changed.

Oh by the way can you tell me why I have to go to zoom here only. The width changes constantly why typing.

      Hi, @halfpint1!  I'm glad they fixed it!  I don't know what happened, but no one else can use your name -- once it's been used by an account, it can't be chosen again by someone else.  (Although with the old forum platform, nicknames were case-sensitive so similar names could be used.  This newer software doesn't allow that.)

      Regarding zooming....  just a guess since I don't know what device, browser, or software you use, but if you're using the IE browser there are all sorts of technical problems on this site.  (And on any browser be sure to clear cookies/cache/website data, close the browser, and relaunch it, to clear up some glitches along the way.)   Firefox or Chrome will work much better.

This is exactly what happened. I didn't create a new name but waited about 2 hours for things to normalize. It seems once you create a new nickname it makes it difficult to recover your original.

@halfpint1  I feel your pain.  I was Pearlee  before I was forced to pick a new name in order to sign in, so since then I've been Pearley.

I understand what you guys are talking about too!  Although in my case some of it was my fault because I forgot my password and had tied it to a junk email that I couldn't access to retrieve the QVC password.

Anyway, I've been speedyg, speedy, deb1010, deb1010again, deb1010againagain and now finally with the help of QVC  I'm deb1010yetagain

Yes, this happened to me the other day, and I proceeded exactly as you did, with the same result..Glad I was patient....
