I think I used to get really unusual items from q and people always asked where I got these things but now they have the same items as other retailers.I loved to watch before as I never knew what was going to be shown .

I think shopping in general has changed. Mom and pop shops are closing. Strip malls are closing. Empty stores in the big malls. Heck, even at the craft fairs that I used to love to go to. Used to be 300-400 crafters. Now, barely 200. One of my favorite shows was held twice a year and has cut back to the fall show only. Definitely times are changing in the shopping world.

There ARE other shopping networks. The old saying "ah, change the channel", eh?

With the high price of gasoline per gallon in some areas, and the time and personal energy involved, sometimes it's easier to just 'shop around' online and/or on TV. QVC does offer a huge array of colors in many items, which might benefit many shoppers looking for a 'certain' color, etc.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

what they still do that I appreciate is to demonstrate how the products work which I find very helpful and not available in stores since most sales personnel don't have a clue. I especially like seeing how to use new features of technology as it is constantly evolving and I can use all the help I can get. Like others I rarely watch live except for when the jewelry designers are on but find the videos invaluable on other products. And I didn't know how they were going to survive after 2008 but thankfully they hung in there. Yes it's repetetive and could use some new products for sure.

In reading some of your posts since you signed on, gather you are very dissatisfied with the Q...... Why do you even bother if that is how you feel?

Yes, they have changed, but do still offer some very nice things. They can't please all of the folks all of the time.

So complaints aren't allowed here? Now that is funny.{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Yes Pash they are allowed here...... But did you go to read OP's 7 posts since she signed on board????......nothing but complaints about the Q. That is why I asked her the question I did. And, I am entitled to ask questions too.......

Totally agree Romary.......when shopping in the big mall stores, they may have a good selection, but the color selection is not nearly as good as it is on the Q.

I enjoyed QVC much more years ago when there was a variety of products. Shopping has changed so much. Years ago I'd compare prices with retail stores and decide if it was a good bargain for me. Now it's easy to go on-line and compare. In the majority of cases QVC is no longer a bargain. I have learned a lot about new products over the years. Now there are so few new products. I also enjoyed the presentations from the hosts years ago without all the chatter. Back then they actually demonstrated the product. The focus was on the product not social media and their lives.

One of the biggest disappointments was purchasing the bonded gold that was manufactured in Italy and Antonella stating that it was one of her relatives who lives in Italy and directly involved in the making of these pieces; a family business but not only that, the woman sitting next to her was a relative. So, I bought a couple pieces and the gold color wore off. I had purchased a ring and a pair of hoop earrings that I just loved because they were pretty big and would have cost more than I was willing to pay had they been real gold. These pieces are no longer sold on Qvc and I was unable to return them as it was past the 30 days but I believe the line is still sold there. It's called Vinceza.

Now they're also pushing the Bronzo line which is also bonded jewelry made in Italy and just last night Nancy Hornbeck said if you were to cut these pieces open they'd be all silver color through and through, same with the rose gold color which would be rose gold through and through and the yellow gold color would be yellow through and through. Thought that was very odd and certainly will not try them after the disappointing experience with the other line.

No, I don't have the time nor the desire to research an individual poster's history.
