@PBGV : Yes, I agree - something feels different but not ?!?!

@PBGVI don't care, and I do understand that to compete with huge companies like Walmart and Amazon, the little guys like QVC, HSN, Zulily. etc. probably have to combine forces or face extinction.

QVC never has 20% off code either.

@SharkE

HSN charges tax because of laws in the state you live in. It has nothing to do with QVC or anything else.

For many years HSN did not charge sales tax for online orders. That has changed as of a few years ago (can't remember when it changed).

never used too, but, I've read where they're clamping down on that.

One place I use still doesn't charge me tax, might change in future, but right now i'm riding high. LOL

I only watched HSN for a couple of hours more than 10 years ago and not since. I have no opinion.

changed for me when Q got involved with HSN. HSN is closer to me too.  I see Andrew Lessman is coming over to Q.

I stopped watching HSN some time in the past year because every time I tuned it was like watching a used car sales ad; screaming, over the top antics, cheap sets, etc. If there is a specific vendor on, I'll tune in but that happens less and less as more people leave for whatever reason. To me, HSN is a clearing house of stuff; nothing unique in any way.

QVC still has some nice shows but again, few and far between. If I shop, it's QVC online and not during a show.

QVC and HSN have been cross selling for a while now (maybe a year?). I think we should be used to the changes by now. Personally, it doesn't matter to me one way or the other. Smiley Indifferent Since both channels are under the same management, I'm sure there are going to be many more changes to come.

I spend a lot of time doing channel checks and avoiding certain vendors on HSN, then have to turn around the next week and do it over again on QvC.  Do you suppose they really think they have two different audiences?  I find that the only thing I watch regularly is D&C, the rest less and less, if at all.

@froggy. @SharkE.  It changed just a year ago due to a Supreme Court decision.  Now all states must collect sales tax on Internet sales.  Thank you, Supreme Court.
