I've shopped both QVC and HSN for years.   Once they became one company, I thought they would be more similar in how they handle orders, etc.

I've noticed for instance, today... HSN has a Beekman TS.  All Beekman on HSN is free shipping all the time.  But on the QVC website, they charge shipping for Beekman.

I had a Northern Nights item on backorder. on QVC.   After 3 weeks, even telling me that the item will be back in, they cancelled my backorder.   It was a TSV and I won't get the that price when it comes back in.   Yet, on HSN, I had a Shark vacuum on backorder and it was supposed to arrive by Jan 10, but now they moved it to Jan 28.  They won't cancel my backorder unless they cannot ever fill it.

You would think that they would have the same rules when ordering items.   It's still like two different companies.

Plus HSN has always had most items with flex pay.  QVC has to have a special day of so many easy payments.   I like how HSN gives you a choice, 2 - 4 flex pays on most items.

I like both channels, but it gets confusing sometimes.

I really enjoy HSN.  Their hosts are really good in my opinion.  I do not watch Q unless I am looking for something to watch and they happen to be presenting something I am interested in and then I will go on line and look at the item.  The way the cameras are set up the hosts and vendors seem to be doing close ups or something, anyway to me they look awkward.

I favor HSN over qvc, other than these boards. These boards & posters are great.  HSN boards are really really boring.

I wish QVC would offer the 20% off thing like HSN does.

Also, you can use your QVC card on HSN, but you can't use your HSN card on QVC. I realize that probably has more to do with the banks, but I just find that odd.

I like both for different reasons.  But I remember when QVC had the best jewelry designers.  Now, they don't really have many jewelry shows.  I miss Honora, Michael Dawkins, Judith and some lesser known designers who were so original and unique.

I prefer HSN's Absolute line of jewelry over Diamonique.  DMQ isn't as well made as in the past.

I haven't bought any clothes from HSN except for some Colleen Lopez jackets (which are very well made).   I buy Denim & Co from the Q.

I guess as they say, things change.

I agree also about the 20% off coupons that HSN offers from time to time.  I just got one in the mail for $10 off my next purchase.   QVC doesn't offer those perks.

HSN and QVC are two separate entities, each having its own CEO, policies and procedures as well as separate credit and financial policies.  I'm glad they have it this way, otherwise there would be no point in having two companies.

They also have quite a different philosophy in how products should be presented and the demeanor of their hosts.

I  always receive my purchases from HSN quicker than from QVC.

@Ladygray   yes Beekman is always free shipping on HSN.   I took advantage of the TSV  yesterday because I love their wipes.   They are the best.   That was a great deal.  I got two deals.  I always order my Beekman from HSN.  I also appreciate that you can choose how many flex pays unlike at the Q where you cannot.
