@Smoky wrote:@Perkup @Plaid Pants2 and @KingstonsMom, I've seen those poor ladies at our UPS store working their tails off, I know in the back they have to have a shipping, I mean sipping table set up.. will that be ground, air, or what?
And after too many trips to the sipping table, it's.....will that be ground, air or don't you just want to drive it there.....hiccup?

BTW, the Fed Ex boxes were both busted open. The USPO package was crammed into the mailbox and the garment inside was a disaster, and the UPS package was just fine.
I'm not sure, but I was under the impression that QVC ships from more than one warehouse.
Your experience seems odd, though. Perhaps this should actually be addressed in Customer Care. Perhaps a mod or CS person could explain this.

I dont think it has to do with weight.....more so....it's the manufacturer of the item that determines where its shipped from....from what I read sometimes its from one of the QVC warehouses, sometimes its from the manufacturer itself............I had a very light blouse delivered UPS, and a Valerie Parr Hill Mosaic decorative piece that was heavier by USPS, and some capris delivered USPS, and a Shark vacuum (older model) delivered by UPS.....I've never had anything from QVC by Fed Ex.but other online retailers have used them and Im not a fan of Fed Ex, the packages arriv in poor condition and they lie about their deliver attempts too........To me QVC's delivery methods are like a roulette wheel!
This is what the website says:
How will my order ship?
QVC uses various carriers to ensure your package arrives by the estimated delivery date. Most orders are sent Standard Delivery. For faster delivery of most items, you can upgrade your shipping, for an additional fee, to Express Delivery or Premium Delivery.
To upgrade your shipping, make your selection on the Shipping Method page during checkout. Upgraded shipping options will not be available when using Speed Buy® checkout.

@Perkup Depends how much they weigh (UPS for the heavier ones or multiple clothing items in one pkg which makes it heavier) and from which warehouse they are sent (jewelry from one warehouse, clothes from another). You don't tell us in your post the nature of the items.
The Fed Ex packages were a bedspread and two sets of sheeets. The UPS package was another set of the same sheets. The USPO package was an Isaac Mizrahi paif of crop pants, which I can't seem to get the wadded wrinkles out of - even with a Rowenta iron.
Coming back to add a note .. .. when my regular postman is on duty, he often brings even small things to the door to avoid any wadding. When there's a substitute or on the 6th day, the sub crams in as much as he/she can and sometimes leaves a package on top of the box. I don't think anything that is larger than the box should be crammed inside, and that applies to almost every QVC bag.
Yep, it seems we have a Post Office problem with various orders not just QVC, my carrier likes to squish those clothing purchases into the mailbox....Ive ordered from Macys, JCP, Dillards and thats what he likes to do...........And he misdelivers so much mail........thats why he gets done with his route so early, 2:30 PM in the past those carriers didnt complete the route in our neighborhood until 5:30 or near 6:00 PM but the mail was delivered correctly, this new guy is a mess!!!
But you know whats strange....Ive ordered books and those would easily fit inside the mailbox and no chance of squishing them, yet I get a "large package" notice and have to go pick those up at the post office ..........go figure!!!
Now I must say I do like the fact I can use a QVC return label and the USPS guy will pick it up from my front door and its free (as long as its the postage paid return label) and I get a tracking number to assure I know it arrived back at QVC...........

As for sipping choices, I likes me a margarita.
As for shipping choices, I do miss being able select my shipper.

@Perkup wrote:Honestly I think the post would have been more interesting if it had been about sipping and wine choices. I'll try to do better next time. But I suspect they would try to cram the bottles into the mailbox anyway.
LOL! My mail carrier sure would try to cram those bottles in too!
Heaven forbid that they actually had to get out of the truck to bring something to the door!
Yes, remember the good ole days....not just delivering something to the door, BUT simply delivering simple mail in a mailbox outside your door.....now its mostly "community mail boxes" in our town located somewhere in the subdivision vicinity.....some of which are targets for break-ins from what I hear on the news..
But those days are gone forever with the Post Office struggling with budgets....I wouldn't mind seeing them do away with the Saturday delivery to help them save money......
