I saw the cutest boots today on the website, they were more than I wanted to spend, but I was going to treat myself. The shipping is $11.22! I can buy boots at so many other websites and get free shipping. I wouldn't mind if the shipping was $3.00, but factor in the shipping and tax, the boots were over $153, more than I wanted to spend.

Re: QVC Shipping, Why So Much

Yes, QVC is disappointing with the excessive shipping and handling.  And their holiday specials have been mostly ordinary.  Easy pay doesn't save me any money, just makes the time to pay longer.  Longing for more and better sales, like every other retailer offers....

@Jordan2

FWIW.....

To see if you could have gotten the boots cheaper (free shipping, online or b&m store near you, etc), drag the Q's picture to Google's image.  Google will bring up all the places the boots are sold.  This way you can compare prices as well as shipping cost if any.

Re: QVC Shipping, Why So Much

Handbags and shoes/boots have very high shipping!  Considering if you don't like it, that is a crazy amount of money NOT to get refunded!!!

Post office says rates are going up Jan 2019 again!

BUT yesterday was another free shipping day and 5-6 EZ pays!

Q has had more free shipping events than ever this year!

Re: QVC Shipping, Why So Much

They r trying to make that free shipping events a selling point, but they don't let us know in advance.  Their idea is to have us check all the time, but I mostly shop when I have something I need, or have extra time, and I don't have time to shop every day.

Re: QVC Shipping, Why So Much

It would be worse if the quality was poor but in most cases it is pretty good at qvc; sure there are instances of shoddy workmanship but I think that is in the minority.  Buying top end products at a regular store probably would cost more and then they would have limited sizes and colors to offer.  Yes, I dislike high shipping rates for items such as boots and purses and other goods.....try getting them elsewhere is my point.  Grin and bear it I do....if I really want something badly enough.

Re: QVC Shipping, Why So Much

You might want to get on the Q's email list.....  I get their emails all the time in advance of those kinds of special events.

This last event lasted quite some time.....for most of the weekend.  It ended at midnight.

Re: QVC Shipping, Why So Much

Unfortunately I didn't know about the boots until today, so I couldn't take advantage of the free shipping. If QVC would extend the free shipping through the week, they would sell more merchandise. If I can get something elsewhere other than QVC that offers free shipping, I'm buying elsewhere, the money is better in my pocket,

Re: QVC Shipping, Why So Much

I hardly buy from the Q anymore, due to their shipping costs and prices aren't competitive.  When it comes to shoes, I have to try them on and it costs too much to pay for shipping, getting them and then sending them back if they don't feel right.
