Anyone have orders from QVC that were never received?

Was talking to relatives in FL today.  When no mention was made, I finally asked if they had gotten their cakes (ordered the Jimmy the Baker cakes for Dec 7th delivery date).  They never got them.  Just checked order status and, although noted as shipped Dec 8th, I opened the tracking number and just states info rec'd.  Very embarrassing.  Certainly will have to call C/S for a full refund.  But, it's just an awful situation that something ordered and noted as shipped never got shipped - thus, someone never got a Christmas gift!  I am dumbfounded because QVC guarantees delivery and this was ordered way before the last minute.  Even my cousins were surprised 'cause they say QVC always get there items delivered - and on time!

That's embarassing - your family might think you're coming up with an excuse!  I would certainly not order anymore from Jimmy the Baker on the holidays - I believe everything is shipped from their location when it's food - that's horrible!  They could have at least notified you it wasn't shipped.

You're exactly right!  We both tend to send gifts out at this time of year by using the shopping channels, and this has never happenned to either of us before, so it does seem like a lame excuse!  My cousin told me I might as well get a refund 'cause if it arrived now it would be no good - that's a polite way of handling the situation, I guess.  I just said right.  But, it is quite awkward. I think QVC should issue me a refund and send them a gift certificate along with an explanation letterWoman Mad (at no charge to me) since their poor follow-up caused the problem:  and,  if they would stop marking everything shipped when it isn;t would help, too.  Also, that vendor should be dropped.  This was totally inexcusable, IMHO.Woman Mad

I had ordered the today's special value emjoi epilator for my daughter in law with guaranteed delivery by dec 24th, never received it.  I felt really bad I had nothing for her.  Qvc don't promise something you can't deliver.  Not very reliable.

Ordered two Judith Ripka necklaces. Guaranteed Christmas delivery. Neither received. "Trust us, we have been doing this for 30 years."  Stop making promises you can't keep.

When QVC promises on time delivery for the 25th when the calendar says it's Dec 22nd - I just shake my head.  Anything to make a last minute sale because they can not predict weather conditions between point A (shipping location) and point B (delivery location).  It is winter after all.  Anything for another sale is the Q's only concern.

I agree.  However, I had placed my order on November 17th, opting for the December 7th delivery - certainly reasonably allowing sufficient time.  Just checked tracking today and they've changed the billing info rec'd on December 9th to voided on December 26th.  I certainly do believe that some type of compensation - nothing above board - should be provided to the recipient by QVC.  They somehow must take responsibility for this mishap.  I'm appalled and my relatives didn't receive the intended gift.  I say own up to it QVC and do something for all your affected customers.
