QVC Outlet Shopping Yesterday!

[ Edited ]

Generally twice a year, spring or summer and fall, my sister, daughter and I take a trip to PA and go to the QVC outlet.  It's about a 90 minute drive to get there and after shopping at the outlet, we go for a nice lunch and then head home with our finds.

You never know what you'll find at the QVC outlet either, so you have to be open minded and not want something in particular.   Today, among other things, Christmas trees were 60% off the already reduced outlet price.  I already own a Balsam Hill Christmas tree, so didn't need a big tree, which they had several boxed of different sizes and  one 12 ft blue spruce tree on display in the store.  It was a beautiful tree!  I noticed a small 3 ft Bethlehem Lights table top tree with lots of lights, white and color with changing modes and a remote and timer.  I purchased this small tree to put on  a table in my livingroom since the main 7 foot Christmas tree is located in my family room.  I bought the tree for under $10.  They had other fall and Christmas decorations there as well and my sister bought 2 Bethlehem evergreen wreaths with lights for her double front doors.  I believe she paid under $20 for each wreath.  She also got a few clothing items and a pair of winter boots.

My daughter bought a pair of Skechers Air sneakers,  a pretty top and a Dennis Basso jacket.   I also got a pair of Skechers but they're a winter ankle boot.

All in all we had a nice day shopping, got some good buys and then had a lovely lunch at a local Italian restaurant in the area before heading back home.

Which PA outlet were you at--Lancaster or Frazer? I assumed the Lancaster outlet was closed by now.

I'd enjoy a chance to paw around a Q outlet - if they would lower their TV prices...... perhaps they'd sell more at the first offering.

We used to go to Lancaster twice a year to Q outlet, I would spend hours in there, mostly buy jewelry and clothes. Not gone in last 8 years, last time we went it just was not the same or worth the 90 minute drive, bought nothing.

@ciao_bella, that sounds like such a nice day trip. Not just the thrill of the hunt, but also the time spent together. It's those small traditions that make life so enjoyable.

And I love a small tree. I always wrap presents and write Christmas cards in a spare bedroom. I always have a small decorated tree in there to put me in the mood.

@Shelbelle.  The one and only time I went to the Lancaster outlet, I made one tour around the perimeter and out the door.  It was such a mess, I didn't want to touch anything.

I did have good luck at the Frazer outlet many years ago.

The Frazer outlet is neat and well kept.  I only visited the Lancaster outlet one time many years ago and also found it to be unkept and messy.

The last time we were in the Q Outlet in Lancaster, no lie, the dust bunnies on the floor in the dressing room were about 3 inches high.

The one in Rehoboth Beach was great no tax in the state of Del.
