Don't worry, QVC isn't going anywhere for years to come.

Many of us enjoy reading and analyzing the fiscal disclosures and have the right to post opinions as to possible outcomes after looking at the financial results.
It certainly is a popular topic garnering much commentary, and there is surely nothing wrong with that. No crystal ball required to interpret balance sheets and income statements.
If these discussions bother you, brace yourself for tomorrow, be the outcome positive or negative.
I agree with you, it's a pertinent topic for these forums. And, I would note, as for the question asking why not a broader discussion about all retail, that's often discussed here as well. Still, the reality is that what impacts QVC directly impacts these forums.

I guess they all have a crystal ball.
@Sage04 It's more serious than speculation with a crystal ball. There's the serious reality of company stock now being next to worthless. Do you think banks are going to lend them money to buy merchandise? These things snow-ball.
@Kachina624 whatever will be will be. Not my problem. Just enjoying the Forums as long as possible and shopping for whatever.

You probably know, QVC is having financial difficulties and what that means on Wall Street. Nasdaq doesn't like stock going below $1.00 and delisted Qurate.
I doubt QVC will fail if it keeps it's TV programming. Without TV, it will become any other online retailer. Even more boring. Oh Where Oh Where are all the brick and mortar stores that I loved to run around checking everything out?
I do not think digital presentations will save QVC. Besides, other retailers have been offering digital, too.
This company has loyal customers beyond belief who will pull them through even though it might see very troubling times in the future.
" pull them through?"
QVC has had negative numbers for the last several quarters.

@Sage04 . It's not a baseless guess about QVC in financial trouble. The financial reports are literal numbers that place QVC in a very weak borrowing position. Purchasing restrictions and paying higher interest rates are consequences of low financial strength which is QVC currently.
Not a guess, they are numbers and facts.

@rockygems123 I don't care. It does not affect me. I'm at a stage in my life where something like this does not bothers me. All I care about is what happens to my family. I put what's happing here on the same page as watching the Coronation.

@chrystaltree Said followers of Bed Bath & Beyond, Tuesday Morning, Sears, David's Bridal, Party City, Revlon, Macy's struggling etc.
Granted they're brick & mortar which have been challenged by online giants.
So has QVC, it may be an outdated retail venue which is sad but somewhat predictable.

I don't think QVC is so outdated. With all the stores closing (2Nordstrom's closed this week) people will shop somewhere. QVC has to step up and figure how to make it a more attractive place to shop. Someone with retail smarts has to come in and do a makeover. I hate to say it, but having 2 hosts on most shows is a place to start. Unnecessary. I am sure there are lots more things that QVC can do to help itself succeed. Maybe the right people are not running the company.

Nothing but speculation. QVC is by far not the only one that does not have stellar financials right now. Probably since so many other places are closing, it is natural for some to wonder if QVC is also vulnerable

Their stocks are down 84% and they may be delisted. It's a serious situation and one I hope they can rebound from. This was from a business article 2 days ago.
