Differences, I guess, knowledgeable or not, I can't watch her. I can get most of the information I need from dot com or researching the item in question without enduring too long and often frenzied presentations by hosts and vendors.

Well, many of the hosts might be very knowledgeable about the products, but some fail to actually COMMUNICATE that information clearly and correctly.

JMO, of course.

@Tinkrbl44   You hit the nail on the head!!!  That's the problem!   That's why I quit watching totally, and went to online years ago. Seriously, you think some of the long time Hosts have acquired vast amounts of info on most items.....they just fail to communicate it. Exact measurement.  My pet peeve was...when I buy a hand bag. The inside is important to me!  I want measurements, pocket info, does the purse have feet or not! One of the last time I watched QVC Isabella Fiore handbag presentation TSV. I waited all day!  The host never even showed inside of bag ever.  Just went on about Madison Ave look, friends would be jealous, the colors were perfect, blah blah blah.  She carried bag, but never gave a darn measurement or showed inside.  This had happened a few times on oroduct, I just gave up. They fill the air with blabbering, and nonsense.....geesh

Oh dear, that would have made me crazy.  I'm a fanatic about handbags.

I finally stopped watching when Bruce Makowsky had a TSV every month and shows every week.

The comments were always the same .... Oh!  Look at how the handbag puddles!

You can wear it with jeans and a T-shirt!

Oh!  It's leather!

Grr.

@Tinkrbl44  I remember the BM and Kathy Van Zeeland handbag sales lol. One of them was on everyday it seemed!!!    I am a avid (was) handbag collector, vintage mainly.. with over 200 bags, most in storage now. lol. But I never bought one of their bags IDK why. I think too big, and floppy for me.  I love bucket, picnic style, more structured bags of the 50's and 60's, vintage bags..especially Lucite bags.  I wear those sometimes!  I used to change daily to show nd apcarry bags. Now with all the bags I have I haven't changed in a year..l.too old for all that stuff

I'm currently carrying what is one of the VERY few structured handbags Bruce had.  It had a solid color purple lining, not a print lining, twelve compartments, and a 13-inch drop handle.

It was SO perfect for me that I later bought a couple more of the same bag on eBay, so I could have that style for years, lol.

I told you ... handbag fanatic.

@Tinkrbl44   I think Bruce had a lot of structured bags in stores like Nordie before he came to QVC. He was very well known for the quality of his bags. Kathy had the non leather bags mainly, and hobo style or floppy with tons of hardware.  Although they were married at the time they designed bags they did have different style for awhile. There was period after QVC they became so over exposed, they faded out . She was really hot at one time.   Then they divorced , and everything faded out.

No.  Informed a bit maybe, but no knowledge of the product.

now, they are pushing the "textamonial" , where you text them while they are on air, with you praise of the item. I think if you have questions, you should be able to use texting for that too.

Not a fan of the textamonials, but better them than the often cringeworthy phone calls. I would rather they get rid of both and either give true product info or shorten each presentation and put more products in each show.

I'm in awe of folks here that know so muc about the hosts! I don't know 90% of them by sight and usually if someone here mentions a host I need to look them up online.

@We rescue cats   I used to know the "Oldie Goldies", but all the newer ones are nothing special...the long time ones are boring now,
