I just got off the phone with CS. Ive been having this problem since before Xmas. Everytime I try to order on line it say QVC.COM is not available, try again later. Ive tried to pay my easy pays early and the same thing happens. This has been going on for weeks. I thought it was me originally, but CS service says no, its happening to a lot of people and tech support has been working on it. Many are having the same problem. I just find it strange that a company as large as QVC cannot get this fixed. I do almost ALL my ordering on line, so this is a major inconvenience. Yes, I know I can call CS to do all of this, its just the idea that they've been working on this for weeks and its still not fixed. This doesn't happen with Amazon. At least I know its not a problem on my end, but really Q, hurry up!

And the CS reps were very nice, they just can't help!

I use the automated ordering line, that's my preferred method. Although I do use qvc.com from time to time, but haven't tried it in a while.

Thanks for posting this. It seems there is always something up with Q, and I like when others post, so I know it isn't just me. I have very limited tech skills, and always assume that I'm messing something up.

I will have to say, that at least with Q, there is always someone at the other end of the phone to assist or confirm a problem. My experience with Amazon is less than stellar. They send orders to addresses I've never heard of, take forever to correct mistakes, and in general seem unavailable and disconnected to me. None of these businesses is perfect, as they are now so huge, but I usually feel comfortable in getting a live person when I'm having troubles at Q.

there is a lot that goes into the programing and hardware for a company this huge.........IF they are changing from a DOS/Lynux server to a Windows server there are going to be glitches with some of the programs...........if any of the programs used are Beta then there are all kinds of glitches that occur and occur often......mainly it has to do with the different programs "speaking" to each other, compatibility issues........it's the price we pay for the convenience of technology...................................raven

I can't watch their videos even though I have the correct software to do so.

Yes, I realize there is a lot going on than just my problem. I don't understand tho, why they don't put a message up or some kind of notice. I really thought it was me. That there was some kind of problem with my account. Only because it has been happening for such a long time. Thats why I called CS today. Especially the problem with easy pay. You would think they would want to fix that. Who doesn't want to be paid?? So this has been happening to me for at least 4 or 5 weeks. They should say something, not customers clogging up their phone lines for 20 minutes just to be told tech is working on it.

it is most likely a software upgrade, not a hardware one (it is linux, btw, not lynux. lol)

bugs happen all the time when new features are added - based on the quality of technical people and how long it stays in QA (quality assurance), some releases may be less buggy than others.

I don't know if the Q outsources their website or not - that would also have a big impact.

Amazon started out as an online presence (unlike the Q) so they have a more vested interest to keep things running smoothly - they do not have another way of selling things to the customer, whereas the Q does.
