Thank you all for the well wishes regarding my son's graduation. Interesting that he just got his masters in information systems and his opinion of QVC and their systems and ""explanations"" is very poor. It was quite the after graduation dinner discussion!

Buck-I-Nana, does the Q card offer any benefits like the HSN card? Extra easy pay or some kind of incentive? I ask because I am concerned that Q is not issuing you a new card and I wonder if it's worth the trouble of having a Q card?

Just saw the post about the graduation, had to go back and read as I missed it. Have a wonderful time, I am sure your entire family is very proud. I am very sorry you had to deal with this credit card issue but hopefully it has been handled satisfactorily. I removed all my info when they had their credit card breach a few years ago.

(re the updates about account activity, all cards offer some variation of alerts - if one isn't offered that fits your needs, call customer service and they can customize)

Nope, not that I've ever received. Also, seriously advise you pay it in full every month if you do go ahead with it, as the interest rate is ridiculous. The only thing I find advantageous to the Q card is that obviously it can only be used for Q purchases and it makes it very easy to monitor your purchases and purchase history. The bad thing, IMHO, is that you never deal directly with Syncrony (formerly GE Financial), all dealings even in this situation are through QVC CS, so I made sure to follow up this evening to ensure everything was properly accomplished as promised.

ETA - Just noticed you mentioned Q not issuing a new card. No, I insisted that the Q card account be cancelled and a new account/card issued. I would never trust that card itself wasn't compromised!

Buck-I-Nana, I'm glad that they will be issuing you a new card. I never felt the draw to have a Q card and will definitely not sign up now. I don't order much from the Q these days, but I will definitely check my order status more frequently just to make sure nobody does something stupid with my credit cards on file. Thank you for the heads up.

The same thing happened to me several years ago. We figured out that someone saw a QVC package on my stoop, called in with my address, name, and probably googled my phone number, no one questioned the order via the phone. No one asked for a pin number. Luckily I was checking my email when a load of QVC orders came in, all of them televisions and cameras. I called customer service immediately and they could see that it was happening right in front of them. I got the address they were sending it to and called the police on my end. Of course I cancelled my Q card. Years later I opened another Qcard but its not on my address and I use my cell phone number so one was has the information needed. There should be more security for ordering.

I'm sorry about your troubles. I went through something like this with my Macys Visa card about 5 years ago. Is there any advantage to having a Q card? Do you get special discounts or cash back? If not, I'll just keep using my visa.

Thanks so much for the heads up. I just went in and added text alerts for orders placed. I already get emails, but this way I will get notified while I'm away from my computer and don't have to constantly check my email.

I was afraid something like this would happen after all the trouble with the site.

No, Q card has never gotten me special discounts, cash back or even extra flex pays like HSN does. I've kept the card because of the convenience to me for easy monitoring and purchase history.
