@shoekitty wrote:@SurferWife you are so correct about that! I read article in NYT not too long ago how often third party products on Amazon, (as well as eBay) , are expired, (Ready to expire) are seconds, or knock off products. They did extensive testing of items over a year or so and found this to be true. Especially if you are buying name brand products. Many 3rd parties buy overstock, or dated product. Many buy knock offs because they order their stock from out of country, or it comes from overseas ...then to local US warehouse. So it's hard to tell where oroduct is coming from!!
So true! Just learned my lesson ordering "Luminara" taper candles.
Not direct from the manufacturer and wow were they terrible.

@Tinkrbl44 Yes, everyone is correct! Amazon prices do go up and down like the stock market!

Yes @Tinkrbl44 - their prices fluctuate all the time. Keep the item in your cart and watch the pricing. When/if it drops, make the purchase.

I am a huge Amazon shopper.
Lately, I noticed that if I fail to make an order for ONE DAY I get an email saying: "We noticed your cart is empty." ![]()

Same here.
They watch every single item I purchase (from A to Z) and help "guide" my purchases. I'm not an impulse buyer. I need everything I buy, but I appreciate their "care and attention."
Also, for the infrequent times I have CS issues, they ALWAYS accommodate whatever my request is about any particular transaction.

Apparently, the prices can change by the hour.
A few days ago, the item I was considering was $24, then it dropped to $21.
The next day it was $24 again, but later that day it was $21. Three hours later it was back to $24 again.

@Tinkrbl44 @San Antonio Gal :last fall I was looking into a Red Ryder trike for my great grandson. I paid a steal price of 49 bux. At Christmas I went back to purchase one for a friend of the family's son. It had gone up to 109 dollars. I kid you not. I see this price jump in toddler, and children's toy items all the time. But this one price jump was a Dorsey. I had to find something else, isn't that crazy?????

@Rockycoast Amazon does it all the time. You just might not be noticing.
Just recently, some folks were discussing an item and it's price on Amazon, but when I went to Amazon, the item was not that price, it was more. I wasn't interested in buying said item . I just wanted to see what it was. but I checked a few times on the price since 2 different people were quoting me a lower price. Then, one day out of the blue when I had stopped checking on it, I got a notice that the price had dropped.
I also have an app nthe displays the price history on a graph on the product's page and almost everything goes up and down. It's actually pretty rare to see a straight line, at least in my experience.
@Icegoddess As Amazon prices are usually the best, I do keep abreast of pricing with items in my cart. It does not happen frequently as I stated. Then again, I don't let things languish in my cart. That is why I shop quite a bit with them. Prices, fast shipping and great Customer Service.
