Another reason why over 25,000 die of the flu each year here. How many die who have had the flu shot? I would be curious to know. I'm not dead yet and I will still take my chances.
You're also taking a chance for everyone you're around.

I don't know. Are we talking auto accidents, plane crashes, unrelated illnesses?

The problem with the flu and how it is spread is that a lot of people especially working people do not stay home when they get sick....just last week one of the young guys in our office came to work with a fever for 2 days in a row.....last winter one of our co-workers came to work everyday and sat at her desk wrapped in a blanket barely able to hold her head up (admitted she tested positive for the flu) yet she refused to stay home because she didn't want to use up any of her paid time for sickness....this is why things spread like wild fire in this country!!

You get the flu and may pass it on to a susceptible person who cannot get the vaccine for various reasons and that person dies.On 10/16/2014 kdgn said:On 10/16/2014 Jig Saw said:Pfffft I am not 65 and I will take my chances without the flu shot thank you very much.

No way would I go to work like that...hacking all over the place. I don't understand people that do this. Employers should discourage this, but they don't. Yikes tansy, you mean the hospital expects its workers to report for work even if they are ill?
