None of the so called "Plus" size are that.  They are usually in a 14 and are almost 6 feet tall.  The taller you are, the more you can carry extra weight.  It's when you're short, you are in the obese territory.

@songbird   But these terms are modeling industry terms, it's how they are hired.  A size 14 model is not getting the traditional modeling job, she can be a top plus size model.

I agree, it would be great if there were never any categories like that.

But it's not about normal, real-world sizing.  It's the business size of modeling and the fashion industry.  The traditional model is 6ft tall and a size zero or two -- that's the typical model.

Look at QVC sizing, or most all retail fashion sizing.  It separates the Plus Size category of sizes.

That's why modeling agencies break models into those groups.

@Caaareful Shopper   Actually I agree.  I'm the 0-2, but I'm short.  5'3" barely.  The clothes fit.  I just ordered the jeans NYDJ at my usual petite for them..  Most 28"-29" fit me.  I guess because my legs are long.  Somoeone just complained that 28" isn't really petite. 26' is.  I avoid that length.  Too short. LOL.

@RaisedOnQVC   I have not noticed Leah yet.   Bitsy Jennings avd Doris Dalton have all lost a lot of weight very fast so I presume they are taking the GLP-1 drug.   If it helps their overall health and well being good for them.

It seems the clothing industry puts labels on people's sizes.  Presumably, so when you went into a department store you knew which area to go to.

Men were pretty easy...for boys you had just regular...then there was husky & teens.  Then for men, there was regular or big & tall.

Women had a bit more choices.  I can remember (don't know if they still have this) for young girls there was a 6X size....then you had regular, chubby & then Juniors.

Women's had petites, Misses & Woman's.....

Even the old stand by of One Size Fits All now became One Size Fits Most.  Woman Surprised

I would give everything I own just to have you back again.......David Gates of Bread

will Pam still be named a plus model now that she isn't ?  I mean if she keeps losing she really won't be once under a size 14.  If she is using something medical to lose the weight and that is IF I certainly don't know how she is achieving it,   She will continue to lose and may be a size small in the end.

Yes, just yesterday I noticed a difference.

Very flattering look.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
