40% of abused women will not leave the abuser because they cant take their pets with them.  Purina has the Purple Leash Project to help them.

@Lipstickdiva ..........I had never heard of it until I saw an ad on the web.  I think it is a great idea.

@Imaoldhippie I'm not even sure how I heard about it but it really struck a chord with me.  I too think this is a wonderful idea.
