So, let me get this straight. According to you: A reputable breeder would only sell pure bred dogs. Mixed breed pups only come from bad dog owners.

I know many reputable dog owners that own mixed breed dogs and raise their pups. A good dog doesn't have to be pure-bred. Why should mixed breeds not be privy to the same care as a pure-bred? Lot's of people don't care what the pedigree is but still want a well cared for pup. Does everyone that wants a pup have to get a pit/lab mix from an unwanted litter??

Where do you suggest getting a mixed breed puppy from?? Do you care what the parents were like? Do you care if the mother had proper prenatal care?? Do you care if the puppies were vet-checked before they came to the shelter? You're not going to know that if you adopt from a shelter, even if you could get pre-screened and find a puppy. Think about your statements before you open your big mouth.

There is only one reason a person would breed for mixed dogs ---- MONEY.

Maybe they want to produce a quality dog??? Please answer the question. Where do you suggest people get a quality, well-bred mixed breed puppy? One that they were able to see the parents and entire litter. One that had proper pre-natal care. One that was vet-checked?

Why would any person put their pet through a pregnancy? Many dogs still die even with the best vet care. They just give these dogs away, no they want the money. Quality really, I think all my dogs are of the highest quality. Don't have to pay someone who set up a breeding facility.

OK. Now I see. Militant non-expert. You are spouting PETA BS. Go save the whales and put me on ignore. I'm not worthy of your time.

LOL. You really don't get it do you. Probably never will either. Really sad when there is so much information available.

Why can't you answer my question? I've asked it twice now.

I feel adopting from a Shelter is a good thing to do but I also know that not everyone needs to do that. In my case I have had some very old sick dogs, I adopted a Sheltie when she was 11 and she died at 16. I have done my part. I lost one that I adopted at 20 months at age 16 too in 2004, I lost another in 2006 and I lost my next 2 in the same week in 2008. I knew I wanted a Sheltie and at that point, I had so many deaths and had gone through much sickness so I wanted a puppy. It was absolutely the right thing for me to do at the time. Since then I have inquired about some shelter Shelties but have not found one that I think I can help yet. My point is though, some people just have to have a puppy.

There was recently a SCAM about this same issue on our local news, don't do it! The animal NEVER arrived after it was paid for.

Let me address Lacey1 and CrazyDaisy.....

1) It's been a week since I had to put my dog down.

2) I'm so heartbroken it hurts so much it's incredible

3) My dog went everywhere with me and he was my friend and partner.

4) I asked one question about flying a pup on a plane and I get your nonsense....seriously, I read and you both are claiming your right, well, no one is right and your t*t for tat is only bringing more tears. It really doesn't matter, it doesn't. Life is too short and to go back and forth just to be right, there is no right or wrong.

5) If the 2 of you want to argue, start your own post, what you said has nothing to do with my original post.

Thank you and I hope the 2 of you respect the sadness I am encountering, I had to take his cage down today, I had to toss his dog bed, wash the stainless bowls and maybe one day, I'll find another who brought me so much joy and laughter. He was the best partner, he listened and never talked back.
