Horror shipping issues.  Sometimes the answers we get are so ridiculous that I can't believe  someone actually said that.

I can relate!  Tracking showed that I would receive one item today, via FedEx, and another via OnTrac.    Almost 6 pm here, and nothing has been delivered.   This often seems to happen on Fridays, when the next delivery day isn't until Monday.

Back in September I ordered the Masterbuilt portable smoker (K43827). The package got to a drop off within 70 miles of me...then stayed there ever since.

I called UPS and they tried to track down the pkg...but no, they couldn't find it. HOW does an almost 22 lb smoker become MIA?...that's what I would like to know...

I had to wait the required amount of time the Q requires before reordering about 2 weeks later. I told the rep I was afraid of the item selling out. She stated she understood my problem, but if I ordered a 2nd smoker and the original one was found, I would be charged to return the 2nd one since the Q can't prevent problems arising from shipping which do happen from time to time.

In this case, I got lucky. The original smoker was never found and I was able to reorder it before it sold out just a couple of days later.

Maybe someone who works at UPS is using my MIA smoker for tailgate parties...

It's certainly too big and too heavy to get swept up like a small envelope of jewelry while cleaning at the end of a shift...

@Susan Louise  Some UPS employee will probably be smoking his turkey on your smoker next week.

Someone from FedEx was supposed to call me back this evening after they'd tried to track down my air fryer.   Of course I never heard from anyone.

On 10/24 I sent my cuz in FL a package via USPS 2-day Priority Mail...........It hasn't arrived yet.    The tracking shows it hopping around from post office to post office.............I am half-way expecting it to end up in Naples, ITALY (!!)

I have had three UPS shipping nightmares this month alone.  First -- package was "left at my door".  Trust me, it was not.  Second -- package looked like it had been run over by a semi, merchandise inside damaged. Third - UPS said they attempted delivery (signature required),but I wasn't home so they sent it to a station for me to pick up, which is extremely inconvenient for me. Oh, and I was home waiting for my doorbell to ring.

As long as my letter carrier is not on vacation, that's the most reliable method of delivery for me.

I will avoid ordering anything in the future that has to be delivered by UPS and I think that will be relatively easy for me to do. I'm done with them.

What nightmare stories!  Makes you wonder how many folks will get "IOY"s for Christmas.

Many complaints about shipping. Doesn't look good for the heaviest holiday shipping that probably hasn't even started yet. And winter weather will complicate things too.
