@SilleeMee.  Don't forget the big earthquake they had in Haiti.  Apparently the Caribbean earthquakes don't generate tsunamis.

Yes, I thought about Haiti right after my post. I just never payed attention to earthquakes as a kid living PR and I don't even recall feeling any temors either.

I think I read that the last earthquake in PR dates to 1918.
