Hi Noel....I read about your vision problems the other day on another thread and left you a small note. I hope you are doing a lot better today.As far as the IC is concerned, I have learned to live with it but there are times it can be just easier to stay home during a flare...

I am familiar with those small type of bathrooms. A lot of the restaurants in the Village have the same accommodations and it can be a pretty uncomfortable wait.{#emotions_dlg.crying}

Oh, thank you! I'll have to go back and look for your note Smile It's not a good day today, they said that particular lupus flare was so strong, it will take at least six months to get past.

Noel, I am really sorry about your not feeling well. I know all too well how chronic illness takes its toll. Hang in there..Smile

Thank you, serenity. I hope your comment doesn't mean you also have a chronic illness, if so, my heart goes out to you.

Re: Public restrooms and purses

Ilearned once when a stewardess took my purse from the overhead right where I was sitting and moved it far into the back of the plane NEVER to put one in that overhead again. Now I carry a very slim crossbody and put it behind my back in the plane, so the stewardess does not see it.Of course if you son't sit in the first row this is not a problem but I am handicapped and usually they put me in a front seat because of my cane and/ or needing a wheelchair at times, so there is no seat in front of me to stow things under.

I think some of you may want to look into getting one of those purse hooks.

Believe it or not, the filthiest part of a public restroom is not the toilet area. It's the bathroom door leading out of the bathroom. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't be careful, but for cryin' out loud, if you use reasonable caution you will be just fine.

I don't know about your area but I'm noticing more and more restrooms have a garbage can right next to the door leading out of the bathroom. Someone finally got the word out-

I have one and I leave it in the car to use in restaurants. The problem is there's often not enough room, what with knees and all.

Part of the problem is that I don't use a crossbody or small purse. I have too much to carry, it can get like a pharmacy in there, lol.
