No - I can't believe how many people keep their purse there wide open.I've seen someone get their purse stolen right out of the cart.
It is the GERMS I'd worry about there if I were going to worry about that at all.

I usually keep my purse on my shoulder or carry it because I once left it in one of those child seats and some man walked over to me with it because I was completely distracted....
Anyone could have picked it up and walked off with it.
That happened to me when I was very young, long before I worried about much of anything but getting in and out of the supermarket after a long day at work... Now, I try and be more careful and am more aware.

I am not going to hold it in my teeth or put it around my neck. I always carry wipes, so I can swab it off if need be. Every weekend I clean it out and wipe it down. I do not fondle or lick the bottom of it, actually probably never even touch the bottom, so I'm not too worried about it. It sits usually in the floor of the back hallway next to the shoes that find themselves there. I open doors in restrooms with a wipe in my hand.
At home the purse goes on the floor, never on the table or counter. We used to have dogs and cats and I figure if you live with animals, not much else should phase you.
I like that statement "I do not fondle or lick the bottom of it."

At home, I hang my purse off a drawer pull in the bedroom or sometimes off the door knob. I don't want to put it on a dresser.

I hope you are doing a lot better today. As far as the IC is concerned, I have learned to live with it but there are times it can be just easier to stay home during a flare...
I am familiar with those small type of bathrooms. A lot of the restaurants in the Village have the same accommodations and it can be a pretty uncomfortable wait.
Oh, thank you! I'll have to go back and look for your note
It's not a good day today, they said that particular lupus flare was so strong, it will take at least six months to get past.
Noel, I am really sorry about your not feeling well. I know all too well how chronic illness takes its toll. Hang in there..

I don't put a purse or anything else on a floor in a public place, or pretty much anywhere else for that matter. But then I have an auto-immune condition and something that might not phase most people could make me deathly ill. So I am fairly careful, particularly out in public.
Waiting to see this one end up in a fisticuffs, as this subject usually does here. ![]()

Hi CB!
I have the same concerns. If I have to put my handbag on the floor of a restaurant, I put it on my feet. Luckily, I can usually score and extra chair to use.
