And to think back in "the good old days" humans could kill them just for their ivory tusks so we could have important things like jewelry and other  decorative items.  And Conservationists were ridiculed back then, too.

 

It is finally illegal but poachers are still a very serious problem because there is still a market for ivory.

 

I think elephants are magnificent creatures and I hope they survive and never become extinct.
