Prom Costs

Just saw a story stating that the girl's dresses alone are running at least $600. Guess it's a good thing we never had children, we never could have paid that much for a dress. I declined an invitation to my prom because I knew my parents didn't have a prom dress in their budget, and my part-time job barely paid for car insurance and gas. Never really felt deprived though.

Any posters footing prom expeditures this year?
