The New York Philharmonic has given its first public performance in exactly 400 days.
The orchestra consisted solely of masked strings, no brass or woodwinds.
The 150 masked audience members were in chairs separated 10 feet in a space which previously held 1200. They had to show proof of negative testing.
On the menu: Caroline Shaw's "Entr'acte", Sibelius' "The Lover" and Strauss' "Metamorphosen."
