Every day there is yet another recall. Today was apple juice and others. I've never bought anything that later was recalled.  I'm wondering if other posters have.

As federal regulations regarding food safety are relaxed, will the number of federally-mandated recalls decrease?

 I expect they will decrease and be delayed. Lately, there have been posts with concern about Fancy Feast cat food with a Lot #43, but no government recall. It may be a hoax, but I won't chance it so I checked mine.

It seemed that the old poster, Mindy, used to post recalls almost daily.  That was quite a while ago so recalls aren't new, nor are they more abundant now.

I receive recalls on pet food, but wish there was one for human food.

You can sign up for emails from the FDA for all recalls, withdrawals and safety alerts they issue.

There have been major cuts to our food safety because I guess we were all clamoring to get salmonella or E. coli poisoning 😏

That is likely due to a satire piece published by The Onion a couple of days ago.  There are no current Fancy Feast recalls reported.

@Marp Thank you for the source. I was skeptical but checked anyway. The number should be lot 43 not 46.

I hear of recalls and often think of @Mindy, and the service she provided, and hope she's well.
