When I first signed onto Firefox this morning I got a message that they run on donations and requested that all users donate $3 each.  Since then I've had Firefox crash 3 times and my security said I was subject to a virus that could not be fixed.  Firefox won't close and I have to go to task manager and close down.

Anyone else have this issue?

NO I haven't. But there are bogus firefox sites that want you to upgrade. My antivirus alerts me when I encounter them

No, I did not have any problems with FF today.  Have you run your malware/anti-virus software?  Clean your cache and cookies?

no problems for me using firefox. it is the browser i use the most.

I'll bet it was a hoax to get money from unsuspecting people.

I got a different one the other day about malware on my computer.  They reported that one as a hoax on last night's local news, it would have asked for money to fix it.

There's a lot of those hoaxes going around.

A quick search shows a lot of sites saying they ARE asking for donations

Then they say they don't need the money, I guess they just want it.  Crazy imo.

I contacted them, by chat , they wanted me to pay them ,$5.00 to check further, i just wanted to let them know,i left the page.

My firefox has been crashing repeatedly since the latest update they did.

I think I am going to uninstall it and go back to the last version.

I have notified them about 18 times, but no repsonse. The last version worked fine.
