Problem With Elderly Parent-Part 2-HELP!!!

I posted last week about problems I was having with my 90 year old mother who had fallen, broken her shoulder, had surgery & rehab, and went home two weeks ago. We hired an excellent aide, made her home safe, and finally thought all was in place after some tough battles over spending money for anything and everything. However, last night, Mom told me she is doing so well that she wants to fire the aide in two weeks and that the PT at home, which stops in one week, will be sufficient until she sees her orthopedic surgeon in 3 weeks to ask what he thinks she should do. I told her she cannot be alone, she must continue PT, and she is endangering her recovery, and even her life, if she thinks she can be alone at this point. I called my brother and he simply read her the riot act, which dd nothing but make Mom upset. Then my daughter called and informed me that Grandma is talking about when she might drive again. She cannot even lift her left arm! We were all so pleased with her progress but now she has left all reality of her situation. I am VERY upset. Do I call her family doctor? I like the man but Mom doesn't respect him. I don't know where to turn. HELP!
