The dress Princess Catherine chose to wear at the first meeting was designed by a Nigerian British designer.  Like her late mother-in-law before her she always supports the visiting country or the country she herself is visiting in their fashions and designers .

She is lovely and always well dressed, but doesn't seem to live for that day to day.  From everything I read, she is very smart, does her homework about things she is involved with, and easily connects with and listens to people.

She gets on well with old folks, kids, working people, less fortunate, sick folks and important people, and engages in conversation them in conversation easily.

I wish a lot of of young ladies had her as a role model and an idea of what a woman can be rather than some pop star; pretty, powerful, productive, down-to-earth, and nice.  Just nice!

If Kate hadnt married a prince, what would she be doing? How would she be earning a living? What is her talent and how does that talent translate to young ladies today, 99.9% of whom will never marry a prince?

She is lovely and a terrific representative for the royal family. She keeps her mouth shut and does as shes told. But I'm not sure how that is a role model for real women in the 21st century.

It’s a perfect color on her. She looks good in rich jewel tones. I find her very interesting and approachable. Her style is always impeccable.

Princess Catherine graduated from college with a Master of Arts (MA) degree in History of Art  The Princess was the first spouse of a royal, male or female who graduated from college.  After graduating she did what many people whose parents have a successful business she went to work for Party Pieces.  The Middleton's sold the business in 2023.

I suppose she could have gone to work in a museum, galleries, auction houses ect...

She seems to be drawn strongly to textiles in the manufacturing of the field.

So she would be a working gal, just like all the other working gals with a college degree, unless she got a nepo job at her wealthy family's business.

Other than her gorgeous looks and fabulous style, she's got the talents or lack thereof of any ordinary person. Hardly a role model in today's terms.

I believe her "showing up and giving back" is the best role model for all walks of life, not just young girls.  I am sure in your own way you are a role model to many people who watch you walk your journey of this life.

Re: Princess Kate in green

[ Edited ]

How would we know what success Catherine would have had or not had if she didn't marry William? What defines success anyway? I find her as a good role model as far as she is gracious in the way she supports the Royal family.

She seems tobe a success as her role as Princess and future Queen.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.
