What a wonderful memory I'm sure he holds close.
I agree she had her security stripped away after her divorce. The monarchy didn't give a rip she was the Mother of a future King of England. Car accident wouldn't have happened if she had the security she so deserved.

@Grand Happy She had security in the front seat telling her to put on her seat belt and wouldn't listen to him.  She truly was a woman of many personalities and many conflicts in her actions.  I keep wondering whose side she might be on in today's Royal Family fracases.

@Sooner Wasn't there one person who survived that crash?  Is  that the one who said she was told to put on her seat belt?  That would be the only way anyone would know that.  I thought the person who survived was in really bad shape and could not recall anything at all.  Then I never heard about him again, but I always wondered what if he recalled anything or said anything about the accident.

@Puppy Lips I read his book and he mentioned how she didn't do things her security people advised her to do.  If I recall, he said had they still been under Royal security the car would never have moved without the seatbelt on.  His book was interesting.

@Sooner Whose book?  The guy who survived?

Trevor Rees-Jones: The Bodyguard's Story.

Yes, he is the one who survived.  Sorry I left that out.

I think she would have gone out without a ton of security, or obvious security.  Why not?  Probably safer that way.  Do you really look at people out casually?

And no longer a working royal, she could not have security.  You only need it if you put yourself in that position for the most part.  Publish your schedule, and people know where to come after you.

She frequently called the paprazzi to let them know her whereabouts to antagonize Prince Charles. It was said by friends that, near the time of her demise, she had wanted to get back with him and letting the paparazzi know where she was going and with whom was like the low cut dress she wore. May God rest her soul.  She was a lovely woman and I've no doubt she probably grew to love Charles and wanted them to be a nuclear family.

It was her Indian Dr. She was hoping to draw attention to, he couldn't marry her because of family values. It's said he was her true love , Dodi was to make him jealous

@willomenia That very well could be.  If so, that is rather sad.  Does not speak well of Diana to be playing games like that, especially at her age.
