Now come on, do you not think it's hard work waving at people everyday? LOL I admit it always made me chuckle when I read how "hardworking" the Royals are. As another poster here put it very well, it's nice work if you can get it.

Now posters are being questioned for leaving out a letter by mistake because another poster doesn't like them?

Yes I read an article online about that Charles and William issue. Not interested enough to care these days, but some people just don't want to think that the royal family is anything but perfect and above reproach.

Princess Kate is lovely and I admire the h... out of her for her cancer battle. She is human too, as we all are. Her cancer battle unfortunately makes her even more human, as she now has lived through what so many others have lived through and so many others tragically have not survived. I wish all the best health for her always.

I wouldn't want it.

People always judging you, no privacy, no freedom.

Boring duties you have to perform. Meeting people from everywhere in the world and making small talk, etc.

Can't even be ill in peace ! People working for you are out to get rich at your expense. No loyalty. Cameras aimed at you when you step out of your house. Constant speculation about your health, younger royals, put up with 'so and so is preggers".

Nut jobs trying to kill you or your kids being kidnapped

I agree with you. If the royal life is so easy why did Diana, Megan and Fergie have problems with the lifestyle. Their lives are not their own. The firm as it is called schedules their activities. They have to be diplomatic when doing their public duties. They cannot get political, etc.

Kate is beautiful and always has been. I loved Diana. I love her children, But it's time to embrace the 21st century and give back what you've taken. Or at least don't profit from it so you can continue a lifestyle you were lucky enough to be born or married into.
I am not saying the royals should have jobs in the private sector- they do perform their duties, ceremonial as they are. But millions of pounds? Really?

@Lakelife62 I actually agree with you. I also think the whole idea of Royalty is so outdated and kind of a form of class warfare. But the Britts love their royalty. Just think if the royal family sold the land and gave the money back to all the charities and schools and hospitals. Think about what good they could do then. They could potentially lessen a lot of the problems they are having. It is a bit ironic. They are going to take millions of pounds from their people every year, then turn around and visit them and say hello and maybe make a speach or two. I am sure they give them money too, but still...... And I don't buy the whole argument that they add to the economy in the form of selling cheap junk and tourism as a reason to keep this farce going.

As someone who’s half Irish I don’t have a high regard for them. If something was to happen to the RF, if the next in line if Catholic can’t ascend to the throne. Also MM had to convert to the Church of England. Quite a bit of prejudice remains.
