Re: Prince & Princess of Wales

Really? How about MM brazenly using the HRH title as her name when gifting her scam jam to friends? Something the queen very clearly told H&M they can't do. That was like a big F-you to the RF IMO. MM will do what she wants esp. when she can profit from it!

@KKJ

"They keep trashing"?    What is the latest "trashing" you are referring to?

Why should Charles strip them of their titles?  They may not be your cup of tea, but they haven't done anything illegal or immoral.

Actually, if anyone's titles should be stripped, it should be Andrew ....  and Charles has done nothing there, either.   Unless they secretly changed the laws, titles a royal is born with aren't conditional.

The longer this goes on, the less I think of William.  The fact that he is unable to sit down and sort things out with his brother shows William just cannot handle conflict.  NOT a good candidate for king.

JMO, of course.

How can William sort things out when everything that is said is told to the media.  How can anyone trust that Harry or Megan won't run to the press and give the latest gossip of the Royal Family.  It appears that Harry is the one that cannot handle conflict.

Great point lgfan. It's also the hypocrisy of these two that's so appalling to me. They (MM especially) wants all the perks of royal life but criticizes them. I mean why would you cling to this RF you claim is so racist and sexist? Because it's only way they can stay relevant.

I disagree.

I think all the male royals are raised to think they are special and the world revolves around them .... Charles, Andrew, William and Harry come to mind.  Anne got pushed aside as the previous generation's "spare".

There's no reason William can't sit down with Harry and sort things out.

No one in that dysfunctional family has to tell H&M any deep, dark secrets.  They can talk about the weather or their kids, so that holds no water.

Keep in mind that when people leave the royal snake pit it takes time to adjust and create a new life.  Both Diana and Fergie really struggled getting settled in, and when they left, they both made missteps.

(Currently, Fergie, the Duchess of York, has authored something like 30 books... for money!  If you recall, she made a few mistakes along the way.)

Elizabeth's father was old, sickly and wealthy, so he didn't have to figure out how to make a living.

I'd be willing to bet that if Will and Kate decided to opt out of being "working royals" he would make some missteps, as well.  It's one heck of a transition.

It's a difficult life transition, and there doesn't seem to be a guidebook.

The Prince and Princess of Wales will be an excellent King and Queen when the time comes.  I do hope it is many years so they can be with their children at their home as long as possible.

I guess we are going to agree to disagree.  I remember the saying "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me".  I don't blame Prince William for not wanting to talk to him.  I wouldn't want to talk to someone who betrayed my trust and called me a racist.

@KKJ I saw that too -- her "HRH" on her note with the jam or whatever slop that was.  I find her totally nauseating.  She has had minimal success as I see it in her businesses, and I think the success she has had is due to people being curious, or the ones that dislike her are buying and watching to further trash her.  There is an unlimited supply of people on facebook trashing, mocking, and picking apart everything she does.  Yes some of it is unfair.  But she would not have had any of these opportunities or made up awards had she not married "H".  And then there are all the photos of the backs of the kids heads.  Totally hilarious.  Does anyone really care what they look like?  She must not be too concerned about their safety.  Does she think she is taunting the royal family?  Those kids are missing out on the relationships with all their cousins and second cousins - the family that will still be alive after H and Me again are long gone.

As for William and Catherine, I think they are a lovely couple with beautiful kids.  They all seem to be very warm and reliable people and I wish them well.

Re: Prince & Princess of Wales

@Patriot3  ...  I would love to live long enough to see Catherine and William as Queen and King !!  I especially LOVE watching Catherine's fashions.   I'm 76 years old and holding ... but I will start looking for a dressy dress to wear watching the coronation on TV ...  I don't like waiting until the last minute.  Dennis Basso has a few sparkily numbers I like ...  and of course there's easy pay !!

And with how ridiculously slow QVC's shipping has been lately, if you order now you might get that dress just in time.
