From groceries, to beauty ,and so much in between are just so expensive.

It's going to get worse with all the tariffs being placed on trading partners including Mexico and Canada as well as China.

I noticed that grocery prices have been going up (well before any trade war or trucker shortages).....Even a pouch of tuna in water had increased from 98 cents to $1.18, and chicken breasts and other meats--WOW!!! A few cents or dollars here and there and Im amazed at my grocery total when I seem to be buying less and less, and using more coupons etc....
What makes it worse is that our major grocery store chain, HEB, drove away the competition of the major national chains by undercutting them and forcing them to leave town...
We only have Walmart, and SuperTarget (their produce is awful), Trader Joes (not impressed), Whole Foods (too pricey)....and then the membership stores Costco & Sams (huge quantities dont work for me so they arent worth the membership fee)

I literally drove way out of my way to save 10 cents a gallon on my gas yesterday. It's only a 10 gallon tank so do the math. I'm ridiculous but it may me feel good that I didn't cough up the extra cents to the others around the corner.

My COLA this year won't even come close to cover all the increases. It's going to trickle down and branch out in every possible direction.

Yeah, pretty much everything is going up.
I do the bulk of my shopping at Aldi's now. Bulk stuff comes from Costco. Name brand from Walmart. That's it for me.
I'm debating about rejoining Costco: I remember when a Gold Membership was $75; now it's $125. I won't pay much more to shop there so I'm trying to "wean" myself off the products I love that only they carry. Stinks but there it is.

Yep...salaries are going up so everyone is taking advantage of that.
Also, increase in minimum wage has caused things to go up as well. I went to Mod Pizza and noticed a $1 increase and was told it was due to minimum wage going up. I went to my favorite local coffee shop and my 16 oz latte is now over $6 when it was $3.75! They said it was due to increased minimum wage but they also wanted to give an equal increase for those employees already making over minimum wage. Well, that’s nice but now I will only purchase one on a special occasion. I just simply can not justify that price for coffee. I’m learning to make the same thing at home for much less. Almost have it perfected!

It shocks me when I have only one bag of groceries and it cost me close to $80! What the hay??

We've been buying more and more at Aldi's and smaller local markets if they have a good sale on something we use or need.
