@Yahooey : The manufacturer warranty was for just 1 year. The chair was delivered to us on 11/9/22. What I purchased was a 5 year extended warranty.

Any furniture that is purchased has stappled on the back wood frame or on the side with product information from the manufacturer. This chair was a special order and  information also included a number from the store when the order was placed. With this  information and my receipt : the owner of the store may lie about the sale ,but I have two pieces of documentation for proof of sale. The store owner was suppose to register the sale and the warranty but didn't.

Today, when I called the furniture warranty company : They checked everything and said the store owner didn't register the product. But stated if I had the necessary information they would help me file a claim.

This afternoon received email from the warranty company that my claim had been received. It listed the store name and information that I filed. Stated they will be investigating.

@geezerette :  I totally agree.The whole thing is sad.

I was talking to the store owner that was yelling at me. I was totally shocked.This is her first furniture store with her daughter and in a different location. Her husband died about 3 years ago with cancer. They had a furniture store for about 25 years. DH knew the husband's father and he was a barber and cut DH hair. We had previously purchased furniture from her and her husband.

This is our first furniture warranty claim.I still have my first lay flat recliner and it is 10 1/2 years old, DH currently using this recliner.🤓

@SouthernBee

Hmm..i think once this chair problem is taken care of...that lady store owner has lost you as a good customer...right???

If you don't treat customers right  she will lose sales😖

@cowboy sam, Well  - you are a wonderful mama - and now a wonderful doggie mama!  What more can I say?  And a very special person.

And, may I add, everyone here is very special!  Including the mother of a very special girl kitty who has ignored my dear

Winston!  Oh well, if the two fell in love, who would they live with?  commute?

@SouthernBee  Say what?  That woman was yelling at you?

You could tell her that you have a bunch of friends who would like to have a word or two with her!
