Good Morning Y'all: Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Christmas.

Dh church friend called Christmas Eve stated his plans had changed and he would be over after church. Told DH meal will be served when ready. Christmas Eve was fun but hectic and I had a few struggles in the kitchen. I had not planned to get up really early on Christmas . I didn't get up until 8. Church friend arrived at noon. I kept my schedule and meal served at 2 as I had originally planned. I was really shocked because he gave me $100 Walmart gift card. DH gave him a card with money. He has never been married and always prefers kitchen items. I gave him kitchen dish wrags,towels and oven mits and several packets of his favorite spices. We gave him 3 to go plates and 1/2 of a cake. He left before 3 and I put the food up and told Dh that I needed to sit down and immediately fell asleep. We didn't open our gifts until 10 p.m.. Heard a loud noise in the kitchen. It was the refrigerator and I checked the temperature 6/47. DH said the loud noise started after I left the kitchen and he knew that I was exhausted when it didn't wake me up. Will call repair friend to see what brand refrigerator he recommends. Darn. We had leftovers and was looking forward to eating them today because I was so tired yesterday that nothing tasted good.

I was happy receiving a lot of gift cards from DH and he purchased two pairs of the navy crocs for me and got the correct size. He had the shoes in a big Amazon box and sealed the box closed with Duck tape.

i hear you -

i have leftovers in the fridge that i can eat for at least 2 days for every meal

tired of baking

tired of cooking

tired of prepping

tired of cleaning

maybe even a little tied of eating lol

i just want some quiet and watch minelsss TV

i'm so glad everything went well and u deserve quiet mineless TV too

i was hoping ur fridge coiuld be saved by the repairman

MY Christmas ,

Had texts from family Christmas day and daughter called ...she was sick and couldn't go to work Saturday and was planning on seeing her dr. or calling her today.(Monday)..said she had a bad headache and hurt all over....i hope its not covid again for her....or the flu!.

Neighbor lady called me about 2pm Christmas Day to see if i was home..she wanted to bring me a plate of food over...was 2 good size slices of ham,green beans,and scalloped potatoes.Yummy smell but not hungry!

I had just ate my pizza and had etc. before she called so i will have some of it today and a ham sandwich Tuesday!

Oldest son Curt called me toward evening and he sounded very tired but wanted to hear my voice and ask about how my day was.

He told me that he has been reading up on his CLL to understand it more.There is no cure but chemo pills help.

Sorry to hear you had to spend your Christmas alone, but at least you weren't hungry! I love having leftovers that I didn't have to cook myself.😉

I hope whatever illness your daughter has is a mild one. Everyone around here has some sort of virus, it seems. I keep trying to shake off "something", so I was happy to stay home myself yesterday. Also, our weather finally got above freezing for a few hours and I was able to get some things back to normal. I have to admit I was on edge for those few very cold days and nights hoping everything would stay working.

The good news is that the extended forecast for the next few weeks is for warmer than normal temperatures. And that's just fine with me!👍

I was feeling out of sorts this morning,

so i plugged my heating pad in to use on my back and snuggled under a blankie. on my couch.and napped...i woke up once as i heard sounds for a bit, but dozed back off.

Later, when i felt rested i got up and looked out my front window and i saw that my side walk had been shoveled

Thats probaly the sound that made me wake up a bit...i think my neighbor lady or her dh shoveled the heavy snow off my sidewalk🤗🤗

yes,it has started warming up as its 22 degrees today. I did walk outside for a few minutes to smell the fresh air and just get out of the house..lol

Oh wow! You sure do have nice neighbors! It must be because you're such a nice person yourself. People don't shovel walks for old grouches.😂

It's good that you had a nice warm nap. This is good weather for it. And good to get outside for bit too. Just be careful!

Sun is out again this morning and 9degrees if it gets into the 20's again i will walk with neighbor lady like we did yesterday mid-afternoon..all bundled up !

I hope you had a Merry Christmas @cowboy sam . I'm currently in central NY and it's freezing, today it's going to be about 25, lol. When I arrived a few days ago it was 2.
