Waving To Everyone...Happy Weekend!

I've been having problems signing into the forums for the past couple of days...I would keep getting the message..."Hmmm...information is incorrect"... or something to that affect...I couldn't get into my account or on the forums...I had to call Customer Service yesterday and the issue seemed to be cleared up until I logged on this afternoon and had the same problem...Now, Voila'... everything seems to be okay for now.

Has anyone else here been having any problems?...I also asked Customer Service if the forums will definitely be closing down and they said that they would be by the end of the year...I'm so saddend, as I'm not feeling all that comfortable about signing into the Proboards site at this point...The fact that it is a personal run website and not a corporation/company run website has me questioning security and how well developed and managed it is...So time will tell.

Meanwhile, where the heck is everybody?...It is so quiet on these forums and has been for quite a while now....Remember the good ole' days when they were so very active and there was so much sharing and fun...Sigh!

Well, I will be checking in with all of you from time to time this weekend and hoping to see you all...y'all (just for @SouthernBee)...lol

Sending Hugs To Everyone!

@dooBdoo ...Sending lots of hearts and hugs!...We lubs you and worry about you!...It was so good to see your post! Heart

Thank you, @MyShadowLove!

I lubs all of you, too, and hope you always remember and never forget...

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hello @dooBdoo

So sorry to hear you haven't been feeling like yourself.

My little miss Kiku (of the alpaca sweater) has learned "dance," for which she gets a blueberry! Typically it consists of spinning in a circle. Also if I'm "dancing" she will jump around alongside me, plus do the spin. She gets a berry for all that, too.

Now to just capture it on video without getting my slippers in the frame.

ETA: I know we sometimes downplay our own problems or issues by comparing them to others who have more serious ones. In recent years I've learned that while the issues may be different, often the feelings are the same, and we shouldn't minimize how we feel. We are important, too.

Frankly, that was one of the things my mother (and probably so many mothers) got wrong and I always felt it was wrong, but not until recently did I understand why.

❤️❤️❤️@GingerPeach, thank you.❤️❤️❤️

Hello all Lovelies!

Hello @dooBdoo,

Sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling well.  I hope you are much better, really soon.  I am glad you are honest and open.  No want should hesitate to be open and honest here, just my thoughts.  We are not angels, and sometimes our bodies act up.  Yup, it sure happens.  You are very brave, and always being positive, like so many here,  it it is fine to talk about problems.

When I see the news about Gabby, that poor little girl.  In between other stuff, I volunteered for a while for a domestic violence group advocating for women.  I did not do much,  but brought literature to police departments in my region. Something to give to women in bad situations.  Who to call, where to go, etc.  But my heart always went back to the elderly sick folks.  Had to quit because of health issues, and now being much better, no volunteering due to pandemic.

So take care, Doo.  Wish I had a magic wand and could sprinkle fairy dust to make you and everyone feel better!

Thank you, @PamfromCT and @SouthernBee.

My love to you.

@PamfromCT

Thank you for these words.  You are so right, bodies and feelings do act up.  Seeing so much mean, and disaster here, and here, and over there, and back there, and all around, sooner or later something will POP.  This is a safe place to share and release a bit, with some buddies who understand.

My heart calling has always been animals.  The small bit of help I can give them keeps me sane.  But, the strong, sure body is gone now, looking around for other ways to help is a necessity.

As many people are food insecure, it follows that their pets are as well.  I’m part of a volunteer group that calls for donations, and schedules food pick up days and times.  I’m protected from exposure, but still feel useful.  Hope a new opportunity comes your way.

Best to everyone, Be Well ~ Be Safe.

Hold hands crossing the street see you at the playground.

See you there @dooBdoo

Thank you, @Drythe!   I'm there, right there with all of you!

I'm sorry about all these dear friends and family members with health issues.  I've been so frustrated dealing with my dad and everything that's been going on with him.

He calls his appointments "meetings."  He goes to socialize rather than discuss his medical issues.  I have to ask all the questions and get all the information while he sits there and chit chats with the doctor about where they went to school, where they grew up, sports - anything and everything.  That is just his nature.  He's very social.  Me, i'm anti-social.  I want to get in and out, get the facts, and leave.

He's desperate for some sort of treatment, but everything is so risky.  The oncologist mentioned surgery.  Yes, he'll do it.  Cardiologist said too risky.  Heart procedure to get him off blood thinner so there's less of a chance of bleeding from tumor.  Yes, he'll do it.  Specialist said it's too risky.  Oncologist saidorall chemotherapy.  He wants to do it.  He has no idea what the side effects are from that.  At this point, I think he's better off just monitoring it.  It hasn't spread.  It's a non-aggressive cancer and very slow growing.  I forgot to mention his lungs are filling with fluid.  He has to see thepulmonologistt to get his left lung drained.  He's done that 4 times since May.

My sister is no help making any kind of decisions.  She is going to pray the cancer away.

Sorry for the rant.  Smiley Sad

@Bri369

Hang on.  I understand.  My Dad is goes his own way, no matter what.  Although health care is what I know, I try to reason, explain, warn, he say I’m hassling him, being a snot, treating him like a child. Nothing works, not reason, tears, anger.  He is belligerent with Docs, plays tricks with his medical information.  He says he’s doing what he wants, which he always has. I know it’s fear and anger, with confusion thrown in, but it doesn’t make it easier.

Complaints over. 😕

(((@Bri369))) and (((@Drythe)))❤️

My heart is with you both.   It's good for you to open up, share, and allow yourself at least a modicum of release, allow yourself to lean on others who love you, allow yourself to breathe and rest in the arms of your angels and your caring and concerned friends.

You are strong, compassionate, generous and gracious, brave, courageous and resilient, always finding a way to support and encourage others even when you need that support and encouragement yourself.

A couple of Charlie Makesy quotes from his gentle, lovely book:

"“What do we do when our hearts hurt?" asked the boy.
"We wrap them with friendship, shared tears and time, till they wake hopeful and happy again.” "

and

"“Sometimes," said the horse.
"Sometimes what?" asked the boy.
"Sometimes just getting up and carrying on is brave and magnificent.”"

Tonight I look into the sky, watch for the stars, and send my prayers up for you...
I hope you'll look up, see those stars, and know they represent our many voices lifted in love for you and your family.

#WWPD?
Our bright and shining ⭐️morning star⭐️...
she would tell you she is proud of you.

@dooBdoo, Aww Doo, you are just the sweetest.  Preds is in heaven, looking down on us all, proud of how we can open up so that we can help one another on our path.  Love never dies, they say, and I do believe this is true.  Lubs you, sweetie pie!

morning - it is 6am and still dark and it will continue in this path....

ai do like drinking cawfee in the dark in bed with only the flicker of the laptop guiding me but it would help if the cawfee glowed in the dark.... hmmm.....

💡 ingenious or toxic?
