i love chili - takes time to brown the meat and cook the onions

but once that is done - i just dump in the rest of the ingredients and simmer

for at least an hour

I stir every so often - so good

@Mj12  I must say, I'm agreat cook. I've been cooking since I'm 10. A loooooong time.

I can cook anything and it's always great BUT nothing I make comes out good from the Instant Pot. Really nothing! I have some chicken breast from Ostco that people love. Not me. My husband and I find them to be awful. I'm going to throw them in the Instant Pot with some potatoes or rice, artichokes, onions, garlic, broth, maybe a tiny bit of tomatoes, seasonings, and whatever else I find in the fridge that I may think will go. Let's see how it comes out🙄.

The weather here in the Pittsburgh area has been absolutely glorious! Beautiful blue sky,high 60's to low 70's, 40's at night. That inspired me to cook. Last week I made chili, a pot of beef vegetable soup, tuna casserole and Sunday I made a turkey breast. This week I won't cook Hubby is working 3-11. So I have all these really good leftovers and my son orders take-out yesterday and today. I don't get it.

I don't own any of the latest or rather any of the newish ways to cook.

Besides a stove, I got a 

microwave (heat stuff up only - not cook),

toaster oven to toast food but I don't consider it cooking, 

nuts, bread, reheating pizza or any foods that I like crispy 

No air fryer, pressure cooker, instant pot, george forman grill, crock pot

you get the point - 

I thought the Instant Pot was magic - so many raves for years

and people swear by them owning more than 1

I just dont have the room or rather if I not using it a lot - I dont want it

there are things I think about

ice cream maker - i'm happy with the supermarket - but hmmm people swear by homemade ice cream but will I continue to use it after a few times? probably not

@Yahooey, That blue pot is gorgeous.  And I love the rooster on the top.  True to me being me, if I had it I would leave it on the top of my stove for a “pretty,” but just like to admire it as a decoration.  

I hope you get this.  You deserve it.  WWPD?  Buy the pot!
