Tis is what the poem i had on my dh funeral card:

Do not stand at my grave and weep;

I am not there.

I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow;

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripen grain;

I am the gentle autumn's rain.

When you awaken in the mornings hush,

I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds encircled flight.

I am the soft star that shines at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry.

I am not there;I did not die.

.

Funeral Poems Meme

"I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one...

I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done...

I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways...

Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days...

I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun...

Of happy memories that I leave when life is done."

Well, once again, I made yesterday Friday.  Told my husband I was doing that and by the late afternoon, he thought it was Friday too.  He's such a copy cat.  LOL

I thought of dear Preds all day yesterday and woke up thinking of her.  She recognized we are all souls, different from saying “we have souls.”  Every person was supremely important to her.  She was witty and funny, but always respectful.  She was so, so brave.  I wish I knew her in person, but I feel so happy I got to know her here.  What a gift.

Most of us think of heroes as famous people, whose good deeds are known by all.  People like Preds are heroes, not known by all, but leading with quiet qualities of goodness.  She impacted many lives and is a hero in my book.

She taught us how to live, and she taught us how to die.

Preds is in heaven now, surrounded by loved ones, and making many new friends, I am sure.

Have a good day, Lovelies.  Hope everyone is sleeping better.

Hope @Yahooey‘s tootsie is healed.  Hope @Southern Bee’s DH is ok now and won’t be tormented by all those crazy fireworks.  Hugs to all!

@cowboy sam  well that sounds delicious my friend!  Today is taco day at casa mtc (I found some pitiful frostbitten burger patties in my rummaging through the freezer this morning and hope the taco seasoning will be enough to make them edible) . . . hee!

Lubs ya back my friend!  Heart
