  also asked what kind of cancer does he have  then compare it to having her throat stretched,etc!

etc..she would have everything all mixed up!😡😠

  son wanted to leave the travel home camper in my  old driveway  year around  to have a private place to stay when they came up to visit from Missouri.

but d/i/l has now claimed it as her "she shed" under shade trees in their yard  and would really miss it he told me.

They plan to stay until Sept...

but

d/i/l got word today that her sis that has cancer  and is now going to be under hospice care  So it will be a day to day thing now. dependring on her health..

as it is a 9hour drive back to their house!

The doggies love being in the metal put together round dog pen  they bought for them out side...but they are inside doggies  are only out in pen to do potty or someone outside sitting  with them.

Not missing pancake sis  but do miss her neighbor friend

I'm sorry about your DIL's sister having to go to hospice.  That is so hard and I'm sure your DIL wants to be with her.  😢

And a shame it puts a damper on your visit.

Hello to all friends here!

Crazy weather, right?  Two weeks ago we had a rainstorm, and a tornado hit our town.  Uprooted some huge trees, caused power outages, destroyed one house.  There is an airport here, used for small private planes.  Tornado turned some planes upside down.  This is the wrong kind of excitement, but no one hurt or killed.  Thank the Lord.  But what I see on the news is terrifying.  

Loving all the news here, except for @cowboy sam's DIL's sister.  Cancer is a demon, but Hospice provides wonderful care.  Hospice is for those who are very ill, not just cancer.

They even go into nursing homes.  My dear Mom, in a nursing home, had Hospice at the end.  They were wonderful.

@SouthernBee  I am so pleased that you are close to getting some great equipment to get around safely with comfort.  But the price?  Wow.  Should anything surprise us?  Sticker shock everywhere.  My heart goes out to so many.

@geezerette amd @cowboy sam,  Nothing wromg with taking something to sleep and for anxiety.  We live in a time of high anxiety for many reasons.  I do read a synopsis of big news online, but that it is it.  I no longer watch the news - just cannot take it.  Stress overload.  I know what is going on everywhere, but terribly upsetting.  I pray and hope, like we all do.

@Yahooey Our garden maven and cook!  rumor has it that Yahooey is going to have her own gardening show and cooking show on tv.  We all can volunteer to come on her show to eat her delicious food.  

DH and I are hanging in there.  What a terrible summer here, so hot and humid!  Second summer in a row, such a change in New England summer weather!

Our grandchildren are fine, but don't see them very often due to all their activities.  Winston, the Ruler of all he surveys, endures the pampered pussycat life.  I really love animals, but wish we were not so old - I would love a dog.  But not the work and sacrifice involved.  Way, way too old for that.  I have fond memories of our Willie, a Corgi.  He was the sweetest dog to walk on the planet.  

A huge wish for everyone's health and well-being.  Troubles come to us all, but I do pray for a peaceful heart, for me and for others.

the farm is pitiful - severe humidity and heat has done it in

👀 what is sprouting in my soil

it is so  H U M I D - that my cottage crop are mushrooms lol

i dont know what this is - discovered it after i was pruning all the dead and sad stuff before i gave everyone a spraydown of baking soda + water (anti fungal)

when u harvest stuff - u eat what u gotta eat - it doesnt wait for you

breakfast was sautee eggplant - but then i have been awake since 3am

so eating this around 8 is lunchtime - right?

was making another round of pesto and tomato sauce yesterday

basil was trying to flower and maters were getting too ripe

i should do the jam but since they are in deep freeze - i can still hold off

did a load of laundry - i'm tired already

Son and d/i/l  are not going back home yet.. 

they decided .they are enjoying my shady  yard on east side of my extra large yard  a distant  from my house and not ready to leave yet!

When we went out of town to the nearest big box store other day...where we got new garden hose,etc....this morning the took my old barely water coming out of shower head....he put new extention arm(shower arm)..on pipe  then put newWaterpik showerhead on .....!

he put it low enough so i can reach up to showerhead to adjust water flow!  wow!

Yesterday..d/i/l was raving about her moms PERLECARE 3 inch memory  foam mattress topper queen ,cooling jell infused matteress pad,

ventilated bed topper for pressure relief,and pack pain,CertiPUR- US Certified.

Well i had her show me on her cell phone...and i had her order them one,plus one for me from Amazon!

Had her use my CC  ans she is having both sent to me  and should be delivered Thursday  or befoe then...we are looking forward to getting them!

Thats all my news for now!

oooh - a handyman that is literally in ur driveway 😂 

it is nice to have good water pressure and a long cool or hot shower

anything else? ur laptop - remote controls - TV - ceiling fan - leaky faucet

filters - smoke alarms - 

cases of water into the basement - 

perhaps hanging a windchime or anythign else that you need to climb a ladder for

yay on ur new mattress topper

and you are such a good MIL and mama to buy one for them also

He is my oldest son in his 60's that has CLL (cancer)  and need to  spoil....errr enjoy them both while I can...

They said it was nice to be relaxed here  and away from drama from her family  for awhile
