fingers crossed that this guy can perform the magic

i hate that these 'repair or any service profesional' are NOT competent and the consumer is left holding the bag...

you have to pay for each service call?

sorry.... i thought the house warranty covers all that - i forgot what you called it

i really prayed that it works this time...

you have been through a lot mentally, physically and financially

rest up - ❤️💙💜

@Yahooey : The house warranty company had several different plans and different prices for the service call. My plan has $100 for service call that is still less than  what most local companies charge. So far I have only paid once. Example : Yesterday was for the same part but repair companies failure to fix it but if he discovered another part  involved say the compressor that could be another possible $100 but maybe not because the delay in fixing the first part caused extra stress on the compressor issues. Perfectly clear = right. If for any reason that I am charged another service call by the warranty company : I will dispute it and read or send them all my notes for documentation.

By my calculations, it takes 24 hours for every 4-5 pounds of turkey to defrost.  So that is definitely not enough time to defrost the turkey in the fridge.  I know that math.  LOL

@SouthernBee

You're probably better off staying home and not going.  Maybe you can go later and have dessert.

@Bri369 : Totally agree on the turkey defrost time table.

If they are eating at 4 by the time everyone arrives nd the finish it will be getting dark. They live on the other side of town in a very busy area and concerned about DH driving at night plus the possibility of rain. Prefer to stay home. It has been a very stressful week.

@SouthernBee

I'm sorry about that.  Going out with DH will be just perfect then.

@Bri369 : You will have enough turkey with all the other trimmings. DH was upset the other week when I purchased a 4 pound spiral sliced ham and that was 12 slices for the meal and extra for sandwiches. Everything sounds delicious.

@SouthernBee

I think it will be fine.  A moment of panic set in.  LOl

Just finished up making the stuffing and the cranberries.  Smells so good now.

I picked up my turkey.  I ordered a boneless turkey breast from Whole Foods.  It's a little over 5 pounds.  We're 8 people for dinner, and 2 don't eat turkey at all.  Do you think that's enough?

I've always bought a whole turkey, and we don't even put a dent in it.

@Bri369

i'm asleep by 1030 and up now at 430 for an hour - i prefer to wake at 430 sigh

anyway...

oooh i bet ur house smells so good - how can u sleep w/o eating something... lol

bc of the FREE surprise turkey -21 lbs for 5 people and 2 dont eat turkey

there are an additional 2 that couldnt join us bc of illness - a portion will be delivered... u think i can make a plate of 10 lbs? what are they gonna say 🤣

talking about making a dent... and the people who wil be eating are not ur hungry 250lb football players...  it will be day 30 of turkey... NOOOOO

stuffing...😍

@Yahooey

I'm laughing so hard.

So you have a 21 pound turkey for 5 people and 2 people don't eat turkey - wait, you're sneaking in math again.

You're going to have a lot of leftovers.  LOL

Whenever my youngest son thinks turkey  he always buys a"boneless" turkey breast and "we love it " as no big turkey to slice off bones or waste because of bones  to throw out!

dang , i should have ordered fresh cranberries from Amazon...love the smell in house from them plus i love the whole berries over the canned ones that ya need to slice.....wait i can buy a can of spay scented cranberries for house right??

But i want to eat the fresh berries!!! Can ya send me some of yours??

@cowboy sam

That's what I was thinking - no bones and easier to just slice and eat.  I love the fresh cranberries too.  I put a little bit of orange rind and cinnamon in mine.

I hope they have the cranberries you like at your feast tomorrow.
