Upsey, Downsey!

A good week here. So happy to see my sweet uncle settled into such a nice place. He has been so lonely since his beloved wife passed several years ago. She was a lovely, vibrant woman, with a great sense of humor he loved so very much.

Amid our overstuffed home, I have tried to keep order. Realized a couple years back I couldn’t find a sweet little necklace my DH gave me many years ago. We were young then, didn’t have many extras, but he brought me the necklace from a business trip to Colorado. It was delicate and made from Colorado gold.

Thought I maybe lost it, or maybe gave it away, but felt badly because I am so sentimental. It really bothered me. Well, I was poking around in my bureau, picked up a few little boxes, and there it was - under the boxes! (And so funny - cause DS had a business trip also to Colorado this year - entirely different company).

But found out my GS has COVID. Fully vaxxed, masked at school, but it happened. He is not feeling well and disappointed to miss much of the end of his school year. Hope he is feeling better soon, and hope it doesn’t spread through family (although all vaxxed).

My two GC are the sunshine of our old age - bet you’d never guess.

All in all, I think he's doing pretty good. He was in some pain yesterday, but nothing that he can't manage with Tylenol.

I'm so happy you found your necklace that your dh had given you.

My dh used to buy me Black Hills gold jewelry..i had his BHG ring i gave him one year as a wedding band. reduced to fit my finger after he passed away...so many memories in each item he gave me..most of the time i had to pick out whatever earrings i wanted for him to gift me.Very hard for me as the jewelry store he bought from had so many to choose from at the time. lol

I hope you GS feels better soon. I wish Covid was gone!

I will be going to Wally today,that is if its not pouring rain and if i do i will still wear my mask as a precaution.

uh..its getting very dark out and rain clouds getting closer.I need to turn my lights on so i can see to type!
