Regarding yogurt...
I recently discovered Two Good yogurt (only 2 grams of sugar, which is LOW)....and also, Chobani makes a zero sugar yogurt.
First is 80 calories, and no sugar is 60 calories...no artificial sweeteners in either.
Both are Greek style = thicker and, to me, a little more tart.
You might want to give them a try as most regular yogurts are VERY high in sugar content which I try to avoid.

@Witchy Woman : Thank you for the information. I am really worried about extra calories. I have previously eaten the Greek yogurt with no issues but the last time it was too tangy for me. One of the Gerd books suggested no yogurt with fruit and not Greek yogurt. Really confused and trying to find what works for me. The yogurt that I purchased this week is 80 calories, less fat but not really reduced sugar has no real fruit but flavors of blueberry and strawberry which usually indicates more chemicals. I tried before taking the medicine drinking 2% milk and just helped a little. I am trying to make lunch as my biggest meal and no eating and no snacks after 7:30 p.m. Plus trying to add more fiber when eating.

@Witchy Woman : Just read in three other places that the alkaline factor in the Greek yogurt is better regardless of the high ph factor. So will try to determine what I can mix in the Greek yogurt to make it less tangy for me. I can eat bananas. So confused.

The ones I have tried are fruit flavored, but no fruit...and there is vanilla in both kinds. I've not had regular yogurt in years, so not sure how tangy one is compared to the other, but I like the thicker Greek.
Not sure if you can have cinnamon, but I always add some to my yogurt just because I love it.
I have a weakness for salty/crunchy things, but try not to indulge too often.
Eating healthy is so important, but not always easy.

Thank you for doing this & for letting us know!
I'm worried about @cowboy sam and her family too.
Trying to keep anxiety at a reduced level by reminding myself that she likely doesn't have access to a computer right now.
Let's all hold hands and send hugs & Good Wishes to her!

In my mind it means you wish you could have a doggie, and are a bit overwhelmed by other things right now. Maybe focusing on the things you can control is a good thing. I suggest you include some of SIL's behaviors, but that's just me. 😊
When the time is right... Three years ago we heard through the neighborhood about the Puggle I have shown here. At that time he was an 8 year old, house doggie, very sweet, much loved. His mother was in hospice care and looking for a good home for him.
When we went to see him, he hopped right in our car with our Labrador, no problem. He walked right into our home, no issues, never has there been a problem with him. He was used to being in a home, and thought ours would suit him fine - thank you.
Birtie will be 11 next month. We knew we wouldn't have a long time with him, but those years will be very sweet, and how grateful we are - him too, I think.
Just a thought.

@SouthernBee, Wish we could have a doggie again, but at our stage in life it is a no-go.
You May want to think about a kitty - a Maine Coon like Winston - the cat who thinks it is a dog. Very friendly and outgoing, likes to be around you, affectionate, etc. The downside is all the fur and hard even to see nails to clip.

poor Winston -
first you want him to dust with his majestic tail - the indignities
and now you say the downside is all his fur?
we only wish we have as much hair as Sir Winston
I sure do... thinning fine hair when it was once medium and lots more of it
just joshing with u 💜💛💙💚

@SouthernBee I used to add 1 Splenda packet to Greek yogurt. It took a little of the tartness away.
Now as I get older, I like it on its own - go figure. 🤷♀️

@Yahooey @SouthernBee,
Hello you two and all Lovelies!
Now, I trust you two can agree on this and remain besties.
Winston, Yes the spoiled puddycat, has been watching all the news about spring breaks on TV. Of course, now he wants a break.
He wants to go and is starting to assemble his fav toys and stuff. Of course, we would include his kitty food, treatsies, and electric water fountain. Litter, too.
Now here’s the thing. Do you two want to split up his vacay, each do two weeks? I know you are just jumpin’ up and down with excitement. Well, he can be a big spoiled, but I will write
out his schedule in detail to avoid any hissy fits.
I trust you two can work this out.
