a rule of thumb - which i dont do

stick ur finger into soil about an inch

this will gauage if ur plant needs water

so after u water from the bottom - wait a bit and stick ur finger to make sure water has been absorbed

meyer lemon supposedly less tart bc a meyer is a cross w/tangerine or sumthin'

less acidic and a bit sweeter - thin skin and juicer

i have only seen them at TJ - begins late nov - march - then all gone

idk if u can taste the difference in a cake mix - i think i can maybe taste side by side - it is still sour lemony -

same as key limes - cant really find key limes but everyone calls it key lime pie

lmk how it tastes cuz i'm nosy like dat and @cowboy sam can 2nd dat

Remember those get-ups I mentioned several days ago?

Today we had TWO get-ups in one day. Does that ever happen to you?

Little Kiku and I woke up about 3 this morning and neither of us was tired enough to go back to sleep, so we (ahem, I) decided to make something to eat. I had a couple of sunnyside-up eggs, toast, and a gorgeous red pear along with some white tea, and Kiku had the tiny breakfast she always has.

She does get teeny tastes of my breakfast, too. She is a dog, after all.

I thought I'd see what was new on Netflix but then sleep did finally take us over, and now here we are again feeling refreshed after our morning walk.

With best wishes for everyone to enjoy the day, the weekend, and if you're going to eat Halloween candy, treat yourself to the good stuff!

Kiku is a little sweetie, so deserving of being spoiled a bit.

How old is she?  Seems like she has very good manners.

Thank you, @Yahooey

I got very lucky when I adopted this little girl. She was somewhere between 6 and 8 when I adopted her three years ago. She's a great combination of independent and cuddly, active and quiet, and a judicious barker, meaning she is not at all yappy.

She's a chihuahua (well, at least mostly), a deer-head chihuahua. Most chihuahuas we see have the rounder apple heads. I had no idea about the difference back when I adopted her.

She is very smart. I could go on and on. 😊

p.s. Forgot to mention her name is a Japanese word I liked the sound of (Kiku) and it means "chrysanthemum." It seemed appropriate especially since I adopted her when those flowers are in bloom.
