@Yahooey : Like the Breville and the royal champagne color. Still reading. Two places $129.95 with free shipping. Why do I always like the expensive one.

@SouthernBee

I do know that GH does a lot of testing back in the day and gettig their seal of approval was a big deal - idk how it is now but I think they would still do their best and a hand mixer may be considered an essential part of appliances for the kitchen

this is from 2020 - so it isn't quite that old

NYT - idk how they review stuff - by one guy's opinon or rigorous testing

let me see if i can find america's test kitchen - i also like their reivews

they do a lot of testing and tasting (food)

@SouthernBee

if you can't find specifics on a product - like on BBB or HD

go directly to eh company's site - ie Breville or Black and Decker

usually - they list all the specs

pls read carefully - idk if Breille does make a good hand mixer but i have their microwave and I'm happy with it

I do like the storage case so everything is neatly packed together

https://www.thespruceeats. DOT com/best-hand-mixers-4135136

they rated Breville as best high end bc of the price and warned that the rubbed coated paddles may wear out bc of contact with the bowls over time and can be heavy for some people - coming in at 4 lbs.

they do an indepth of many hand mixers - a good read

@Yahooey : What I found on America Test kitchen and a few others the top pick was the KA 5 speed mixer but when you go on other sites the reviews from everyday people was very mixed they either liked it or do no buy. Several indicated the beaters were difficult to insert and remove. I can't find anything locally but wish that was an option to make it easier to return if necessary.

@SouthernBee

I just posted a link spruceeats without the dot and it list many mixers

a few posts before this one and idk if u saw it

i know  - another read

i also like going to stores and lifting etc but that is not an option in today's world

popping out the inserts - some are more difficult than others

due to everyone's physical abilities - what works for 1 may not work for another

i dislike shopping online - waiting for deliveries that may or may not come

returning is a pain - want to look, touch - try on (clothes) before i buy

good luck to you

@momtochloe

you like kitchen gadgets. - any thoughts for @SouthernBee

hand mixer?

i have a decades old Black and Decker which is on a high shelf that I can't reach

it is so old - there is middle metal rod in the whish attachments

no storage case or bag so it is still stored in the box

no dough hooks - it is basically just 2 whisks - that's all she wrote

@Yahooey : I was reading on the Brevelle site. Replacement beaters are available and not expensive. However several reviews indicated they love the mixer but it didn't take long for the rubber on the beaters to crack and small pieces fell off. Several reviews indicated the mixer had issues after a few months and should be better since it is more expensive.🤷‍♀️
