@dooBdoo and anyone else who wants to read yahooey weird history lesson

in researching Nedick's - I ate their hotdogs (in the 60s) which is now called New England Style - the bread was toasted but look at the roll  - it was rectangular shaped. They served orange ade in a coned paper cup atop a tin vessel. I don't know why they were in these paper cones - were regular paper cups not invented? These cones must have held 8 ounces, they were not big as I recalled.

I took this image as close to as I remembered - since Nedick's went out of business a long time ago and no one took pics and post as they do now

then in my 20s (1980s) I found Nedick's smack on the corner of 34th St and Broadway- Macys. I told my friend who only drank diet coke - NO when you come to Nedick's you must have their orange ade and it was still served in a paper cone and I know plastic and paper cups were invented lol

I never knew the history bc I found it odd that there is Nedick's on the corner when the whole block and I mean the whole block is Macy's. The article is interesting.

I know I spoke of Nedick's orange soda with vanilla ice cream (creamsicle float) which can be purchase at one point in grocery stores.

I hope you enjoy this moment in history

My mom would take Orange or Strawberry Crush and pour it over vanilla ice cream.  I haven't thought about those in years.  They were so yummy.

I love root beer floats too.  I can't remember the last time I had one.

It's so hot and humid.  My hair is one big frizz ball.

Those hot dog buns look like the buns they use for Lobster rolls.
