Greetings, @Preds and all our excellently feisty friends!   I hope y'all are having a lovely Saturday.❤️

Today is National Vanilla Milkshake Day...   

and National Ice Cream Soda Day!

Can't go wrong with that!

When I was a kid, we made "Coke floats" with vanilla ice cream and Coke poured over it...  and we made "7UP floats" with orange or lime sherbet and 7UP poured over that.   Haven't thought about those in a while.   Hmmm...  sounds awfully tasty.    I don't remember calling them ice cream sodas, but I guess that's what they are.  

In both cases, the fizzy beverage makes a crunchy, frosty, icy crust on the outside of the ice cream or sherbet.   Yummy delights for hot weather!

How are you feeling now? I always sweat after a walk - jump in the shower and pop back out feeling refreshed. Hope you have a cold one near by and prop up your feet. 

I am sorry that your sis is not doing what she could to make you feel comfortable. Just bc it is not a mandate does not mean you will be safe and not catch it. If she feels, she doesn't need it - that is fine when she hangs with others of like mind. But if she wanted to spend some time with you - she could have don on the mask for that time.

It isn't black and white - you could catch it wearing a mask and not catch it not wearing one. It isn't a guarantee one way or another. Just going with the odds and hoping for the best.

When I was a kid - I would have Nedick's orange soda over vanilla ice cream. Boy, they were good and I haven't had one in decades. As an adult, I enjoyed root beer floats - haven't had one in maybe a year.

Ooooo!   @Yahooey, hunny!  You made a creamsicle delight!   I've never heard of Nedick's, but sounds delish!  I totally forgot the root beer floats...  those were so good.

I worry that this sort of sticky situation is going to cause many family and friends disagreements, hard feelings.
