Was zoe happy on Christmas day...getting some special food  and treats?

My daughter had to work yesterday (Saturday)..so she decided  after she got off from work  at 2pm  that she  go home  and would stay home  and not spend time with us ! Her lossalso.

So, those who didn't show up for yours...also their loss also

I got my Christmas gift i asked for  Saturday

...a twin size electric blanket..   no special color  but a son and grandson went together   and decided  on a white chenille one..soooo soft  and nice and warm for my couch.

uh  i recieved from a grandson and his family a $50.00 gift card to Cracker Barrel  and plus one more for $25.00 to Cracker Barrel.

I didn't let them know that i no longer go there....but maybe daughter will take me  and look for clothes on sale  at a later date.

Do you have any plans for New Years Eve??

I can just imagine the warmth you will enjoy from that electric blanket!  I know that heat would feel so good on my bones some days.

Without my husbands warm body beside me, I have flannel sheets on the bed now with 3 cotton quilts.  2 quilts are full length and width, and the top one is half size that covers my legs and feet.  It's a winning combination for me; so much so, that when I wake up in the morning I am so comfortable I just want to lie there and enjoy that good warm feeling!

I have no plans for New Years, other than to enjoy being home, warm and safe.  I expect trucker daughter to be here, altho she didn't know what her work week would be when she left out on Saturday.  She has worked on New Years before, but was headed west with a delivery time after 6 a.m. on the 2nd. She has a designated route with this trucking company, so I expect her to be off.  

It is sunny, but cold (34 degrees and tiny flurries at times) here in southern WV today.  A stay home day for sure, for me!

@cowboy sam @RedTop @Yahooey @geezerette  and all of @@Preds❤️ very special friends.  I am struggling to get everything done. All Christmas decorations put away except the ceramic Christmas tree that I need to wrap in bubble wrap.

I have been so cold since my colonoscopy and especially my feet. These are so warm and not difficult for DH to put them on for me but fit not that high up on my legs. They are nonslip.  Photo on bottom.

Need to rant. Had appointment on Monday for test results from colonoscopy. Seen only by NP. In the process of ulcerative colitis flare up. Don't understand. No symptoms, no pain, no change in bathroom schedule and  no fever. 😮😧Wanted to put me back on medication prescribed in 2024 that I had side effects. I refused told only option was steroids. Told NP that other RX now out for UC. She replied that this doctor only prescribed the one she mentioned. I have to do a stool test and then more blood work. Totally frustrating. Doctor should have been available to discuss something like this.I will be looking for another gastroenterologist. Sorry about the rant. Not fun doing the injection for the osteoporosis 

DH is sick with cold. Had trouble with printer that was purchased last year. On 12/22/ 2525 purchased  : HP Office Jet printer: had issues installing. Was told need the app on a smart phone for easier installation. DH only likes computers and not cell phone. Has the Best Buy geek squad service but told would be extra charge to come out and install printer. Had "fun" trying to rebox but managed and could  not  close the top. Told DH just returned as is. Best Buy accepted the return and issued refund. I googled DH other printer and found YouTube video to help DH but hasn't tried it yet. He has been sleeping for 3 hours. Always something. 
Currently 38 and this morning low was 29 and in the morning 28.

Thankfully it will just be the two of us for New Year's. Cooking pork chops in the oven using the BBQ shake and bake. Cooking dried black eyed peas, and collards and corn bread . DH purchased the Cracker Barrel Relish that we love to eat with vegetables. Not purchasing or baking anything sweet. Mercy- the fire works has started and y'all know that this upsets DH.

"Happy New Year"

First time in years  that i stayed to watch new year start  as i was watching the count  down   in Nashville,Tnn  on tv  and the country singers performing 

plus

One of my fav. songs "Lean on  Me" by CECE Williams the gospel singer  was performed.She sang 2 songs with her group.

Dwight Yoakum,and a few other singers from the past   and newer singers also sang.

uh..it was   on at 7pm  took a 30 min break at 9pm for news break and came back on  until it was over at 12:30 am this morning...

@cowboy sam : Trying to stay warm and resting. So confused about what day it is.

I was told a church friend was interested in cleaning houses. This  lady was when we were a group of 4 going shopping and out to lunch. I called her today because I am so frustrated with my current service. She will come over tomorrow after church with the widow friend to look and discuss everything. She is ready to start. Widow friend stated she cleans her house and she does great work. Praying this will be a help for the both of use. Her and widow friend are good  with cleaning out kitchen cabinets , drawers for better use and storage. My kitchen needs a big change and deep cleaning.
