@geezerette : Totally agree. That's the only way that I can get  on forum,but I have been busy with a lot of different things. Desperately trying to clean my closet that is in the den and hasn't been done in a few years. Trying to do a few things before my eye preoperation appointment on Tuesday. My friend has now had both of her eyes done at the same eye center but different location. Said not as scary and explained everything. The price for the corrective lens that I need are $2700 each , still expensive but I was originally told any where from $3000 to $5000 each. She said her vision is so much better and now uses just readers instead of prescription glasses. 
Having the carpets cleaned on Monday cause we aren't physically able to use our carpet cleaner. We have dropped and spilled so many things.

Still trying to navigate the iPad but love the bigger size😄🩷🩷

Still had a problem here today.

My neighbor across from me  had a huge  oak tree limb  fall against their tree  and across their driveway  and took out metal pole with electrical wire from the house and is down.

This poor old huge tree is to be cut down now-this morning!

Going to be tricky..as they have flags now on my electical wire coming across street to my house  so its not caought on their equipment! 

sad to see old oak tree cut down but dangerous not to be done...well i'm going to watch now.

I've given up trying to get in Community Chat at all unless I get a notification, then I can get right through.  

I hope your neighbors' tree got taken down ok.  It is sad when a nice old tree has to come down, but it sounds like this one's time has come.

Still trying to learn the difference with the eye pad but definitely love the larger screen.

Really miss @Yahooey @dooBdoo .I sent doobdoo an email and no reply. Praying that she is ok and just taking a vacation away from the forums. She is one very special lady and so kind and helpful to everyone.

Carpet cleaned and in family room waiting for each area to dry.

Tomorrow is my preop eye appointment and a little nervous and will be a long day. Widow friend confirmed she will provide transportation and stay with me and if I feel good after she will take me somewhere for lunch.

Hope you and all of Preds Special Friends are staying cool and doing good. Love ❤️ Y'all.

Oh, that doesn't sound good that @dooBdoo hasn't replied to your email.  I remember she was having some serious health problems and then popped in to say she had surgery, but she never came back after that.  She never was one to complain or go into detail about any problems she was having.  She is a very special lady, you are so right about that.  I miss her and have wondered if she may have tried to get in and with all the problems with these forums thought they had shut down completely.🤷‍♀️  I do hope both she and @Yahooey are doing well and just frustrated with this place.

Good luck with your pre-op appointment tomorrow.  I'm sure you'll do fine, and be sure to speak up if you're uncomfortable at any time.  They should be able to accommodate people with special needs easily and there is no reason for you to be in pain just to make things easier for them.

I hope everything goes smoothly and you don't have to wait too long (so many places now that you wait and wait even though you have an appointment!) so that you'll be able to go out and have a nice lunch to relax after you're done.  You certainly have a good friend to take you and stay with you.

would it help calm you if you take a couple of tylenol  before you leave your house for the eye appointment? Just a thought.

You have been waiting so long for this, and I know it will be a big success.  Know what you mean about cleaning stuff you haven't had enough time to do,  I am trying g to take ome room at a time, just to get some order and to clean out surplus junk.  Please let us know how you are doing as soon as you can.

@geezerette @cowboy sam @PamfromCT @Yahooey and all of Preds Special Friends. Yesterday the eye appointment was 3 1/2 hours. For the insurance and surgery information had to retest for everything so a lot of eye drops. Widow friend stayed with me. At every test table : she held the back of my chair because I felt like I was sitting on the edge of the chair and the chair slipping out from me. I was able to pass each test giving them the information they needed. The doctor discussed everything with me and answered all my questions and concerns. The cataract in my right eye was larger. He stated that I met all the requirements needed for the premium cataract lens and he said that I really needed them for both eyes and hope I can afford them. The surgery will be done at the location closer to my home. He said the surgery assistances will give me extra Valium if needed, they will but pillows under my knees and back if needed and will put a weighted blanket on my left foot, but I needed to remind them of everything. The doctor took his exam gloves off and asked if he could pray. He moved closer to me and gently took both of my hands. His prayer was precious. He prayed for Gods help while doing my surgery and prayed for me to have peace and comfort and for the surgery to be without complications and speedy recovery. I was so grateful and friend was impressed. Then moved to the financial and scheduling office. Both insurance paying for surgery and no copay for me. The other friend had given me the wrong price for the premium lens and was an increase but within my credit card limit. They use the compound drops received and paid for the two bottles yesterday. Both eye surgeries scheduled but not until 11/4/25 and 11/18/25 and times to be scheduled later. I received so many Blessings yesterday and am so thankful and grateful. My doctor is very good and popular and he already scheduled through the end of the year. They will notify me if they have any cancellation.

Friend and I had a delicious lunch. I ordered: " the camel rider sandwich " served in warm pita bread ham, turkey, salam(sp); lettuce tomatoes and Italian dressing. Very messy to eat but oh so delicious. I ordered chips with the sandwich. I really couldn't see when I returned home and totally worn out. I took 3 tynol before leaving the house to help with back and hip pain.

I'm so glad that your appointment went well and you are happy with your doctor.  It's a shame that they can't do your eyes sooner, but November isn't really that far off.  It will give you time to figure out your finances for the procedure too.  It's nice that it will be done closer to your house.

Yes, I imagine you will have to make sure and remind all the medical people that work on you of whatever you need to make you comfortable.  I'm sure they'll be happy to accommodate you, but they just need to be reminded.

Your sandwich sounds like it was delicious!  Now you've made me hungry!
