@geezerette : Just returned home and worn out. Purchased nice recliner for DH and another chair for den. Received military discount and every little bit helps. Chairs will be delivered tomorrow morning.

Went to eat with DH and SIL and we were next to shopping center where we have a local Apple store and service center and DH agreed to take me. Plus I was gifted $100 at lunch. I wanted the IPad that you purchased. Salesman and especially DH said I needed the lower GB...... They gave me a military discount that erased the tax. Purchased longer cord. The case I wanted would be in store in a couple day. Can't add any apps until my account is unlocked.

I'm so glad you got your DH another recliner and a bonus chair as well! Great that you also got a military discount, you're right, every little bit helps. I hope they both work out well and last a nice long time.

Also wonderful that you got your iPad! Yes, the salesman tried to tell me that I didn't need as much storage as I got (I've only used about half the capacity on my old one in seven years), but I just wanted more. Of course that made it more expensive so he didn't complain but it had to be ordered since at that small store they don't carry a lot of extra models.

I hope your Apple account gets straightened out soon, but in the meantime I hope you can use the iPad if necessary for some things.

You really got a lot accomplished! Time for a nice long break!

Love the bigger iPad. Got to relearn this system. Nervous holding this without case.But still excited. They only had it in the grey but no problem for me. Interesting how 1 inch makes a big difference.❤️

Yes, I didn't get my case for a few days either and was very careful with it until I did. I didn't care about color since I always put a case/cover on mine anyway.

I thought about getting the 13" for the bigger screen, but it was more expensive and I'm afraid as I get older it might be a little too awkward for me and I could end up dropping it. I miss having a "home" button and the keyboard is slightly different, but other than that it's about the same as my old one. But I was using the same operating system on the old one so it's less of a learning curve for me.

Take your time getting used to it again. I always google any questions (or things I have forgotten how to do!☺️) and there are plenty of videos showing how to do just about everything.
