Oh, I understand about those kind of people.  I've dealt with them before and it's really frustrating, especially when it's a family member.  It's why they usually don't have any money because they spend what they do have so foolishly.  But I guess you just have to shake your head and let her continue to go on if she doesn't want to take your advice.  To each their own.  And she does help you out sometimes so you don't want to anger her.  Maybe just consider her a little "quirky"?😉☺️

Don't apologize for venting.  This place is perfect for doing that.  We all do it.  And need to!

A few weeks ago I mistakenly signed up for Amazon Prime while I was placing an order.  Of course they charged me for a month before I could cancel.  I've never had it before because I don't order that much from them and wouldn't use the other perks like movies, etc.  My orders always qualify for free shipping anyway.  So, I've never participated in the Prime Days before.  So I was looking at the site today, and I did order a few things, but most of what I usually buy or was interested in either wasn't on sale or was only reduced a few dollars.  So I don't think I'll keep the Prime subscription because it's too expensive for me. I'm trying to cut down on my buying anyway.  My basic expenses are going up all the time so I want to cut down in as many areas as possible.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear about the delay for your eye surgery.  That's unfortunate but at least it's just a few weeks.  I know you're worried about the procedure and the drops afterwards, but I'm sure it will turn out fine.  And if you're uncomfortable or can't do something they want you to do, please don't hesitate to speak up and tell them.  Often there is a work around but they just automatically do the same thing with everyone for their own convenience.  Remember that you're the patient and you're paying for them to service you, so you need to be considered.❤️

@geezerette : I try not to say too much to SIL but she is.....Never know when she is telling the truth. She will say something and two days later change what she had said.I really prefer not to spend too much time with her. 

DH church friend came over to look at his religious books and DVDs and he wanted the whole box that DH was going to donate. My old ice maker was in a box on the sofa. I asked if him if he  wanted it and explained how to use. His reply: Girl- our ice maker in the freezer broke and we are tire of going out to purchase ice .Plus they had already replaced the ice maker once before. He replied: I really appreciate this Blessing. DH just stated:It would be interesting if his sister tomorrow says something like: I really need that ice machine! My reply: You snoose and you loose.🤓

I totally understand about the expensive prime membership. But for me it is necessary and cut my expenses other places. Everything is increasing in price. I do a lot of on line research before purchasing  anything. Walmart current sales trying to compete with Amazon. The ice maker was cheaper but not shipped until August. The coffee maker a little less but 3 plus days shipping.

I will speak up during the discussion of my surgery.I will tell them that my knees will need pillows for support to take pressure off my lower back. My left foot and leg : turns over and I can't control that: If I need to remain still - they need to strap or whatever . I will need extra medication to keep me calm. New primary care doctor stated she will talk with me at next appointment in September to see if I need something for anxiety. She is hoping that solving some of my  other medical issues will make a difference.

In 2002 for my breast cancer surgery: they had extra pillows for my knees and hips. They put weights on my left leg and foot. Just me.

"You snooze, you lose!"  I love it! 😄  And what a wonderful opportunity for your church friend to take all the DVDs and the ice maker too!  It was a blessing for him and a relief for you, I imagine.  All that out of your way at one time.👍  It would be hilarious if your SIL wanted it after it was gone.

Oh yes, I understand in your situation Amazon Prime and any other delivery services are a huge convenience.  They are to many others as well.  I have just myself now to consider so that makes a difference too.

Good, I'm so very glad you're going to tell the eye people exactly what you need.  I'm sure they will be able to accommodate you.

And it's so nice to finally have a doctor that listens to you, understands and is sympathetic to your needs.  It would be great if she could give you something for your anxiety.  I understand they are reluctant before trying other things, but I think it would benefit you greatly and you're not the type that would abuse anything.

Something freeky. DH tv room has my antique secretary and I'm cleaning it out cause 99 3/4 stuff don't use. SIL has wanted it forever. I know but seriously thinking about giving it too her.

I found two pairs of my old  eye glasses. One pair is the small oval shaped lens in gold frame. Not sure how old this one is. The other pair had receipt in case from 2005. But the first pair: I can see a little bit better.😯😯😯

I'm in the den. Can't wait until DH comes in den. Big question for the day? Will DH notice anything different????🤓🤓🤓🤓

Still hot,humid  and no rain!

Neighbor lady sent me a text earlier saying she got stung by a wasp  below one of her eyes earlier today  and was using a ice pack on it...so won't be walking later....so i went for a nearby 4 block walk by myself.

Painscake sis called  and told me she had a phone call that her neighbor   friend had her surgery  and she thinks she is ok     but they were keeping her over night..my sis thinks.

I asked her if she got her car fixed  as it wouldn't start...told me it was fixed last week.

So i asked her what was wrong with it?? her reply was.."idk" they gave me a bill and paid it!! and" maybe" it had some loose wires??

Then she asked if i wanted her to come and get me so we could go eat out? 

I paused  thinking what should i do or how to say no? 

So. i told her no that i didn't want to go....so she tells  me...

she has been off her" pain med"  for a month  and was doing better..

(.i didn't even know she was on one )  as she never talked about it   Why she was on them or reason  she didn't say  and i didn't ask...but I will  ask later on.

So gently told her.  that no i wasn't ready to go back to eating resturant food yet.

She told me that she is doing better   after going off pain pill but  after talking to her...i don't think so!

Wondering how long she was on the med ?  or and was she addicted to it?

Thats what i have been thinking  about all afternoon  and i need to let it go!

Did your sister/in/law  ask you today  about  wanting that ice making machine?

About my tracfone..i didn't buy a new one i am keeping it and  i just bought a years  phone air time  for it.

@cowboy sam :You , your sister and friends are dealing with a lot of medical issues. This hot humid weather is no fun.

It is difficult to learn to let some things go but it definitely helps our mental health.

@cowboy sam : SIL didn't ask about the ice machine. I had it sitting in the corner next to the kitchen sink . I noticd twice she was looking in that area and the kitchen counter top. 

Neither she or DH noticed my different glasses.

SIL worked hard on my coffee bar hutch. We put furniture sliders on the hutch. We moved it closer to the entertainment center, wall and filled the gap in the back.

I was worn out putting everything back in and on the coffee bar. New coffee pot cleaned and set up. It really makes coffee faster and very hot. I unpacked the new ice machine but was too tired to clean it and make ice.

I understand about your Tracfone and sometimes just easier to purchase another year of service.

I was so mad with Amazon. I purchased another long handle grabber and it was in a very big box that included the ice machine. The grabber was bent and had several dents. Now the hassle to send it back but will request UPS pickup.

I was busy all day yesterday but it was a long day.🤗🤗🤗🤗❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
